Bootleggers changes, and what it means to the average player. Cain16

Recently, within the past few months or so, there seems to have been a lot of changes within Bootleggers. Specifically with the way the game looks. However from a players prospective, not much has changed in the way its most important to us. The way the game is played.

Specifically, it seems that with every passing day, the rules become more strict, but the 'fun' within the game becomes less, at least until recently.

Within the last week, Admin's (for all of the posturing on how game forum topics fall on deaf ears) finally realized exactly what they were doing to the game; by suddenly removing a few restrictions on what is or is not accepted within game forum.

In hopes that they continue on this path, I decided to write a freelance article in the buzz, in hopes that perhaps the admins will follow on the path that they have started down.

I think I can speak for the majority of the players on Bootleggers when I ask for one simple thing.

MORE TO DO. In this editorial, I've spoken of visual changes that have taken place, aesthetic changes that make the game look better, but really has no impact on the way the game is played.

We would like more ways to interact, more uses for crimes. More uses for crews, and more activity causing changes. Like many players, I don't do crimes very often, frankly I have more money than what a petty crime will offer me. I don't often steal cars any more and frankly log on to OC. Many players are that way.

In the beginning, crimes are needed for multiple reasons. Money, ranking, cars for oc's, all HAVE to be done in order to make it to the next level, or next rank. But as the game moves forward, crimes are less and less needed. Certain people still do them, just to pass time, while others don't worry about it at all. The problem that I see is, at a certain point, crimes become unnecessary; after the first few bosses hit, you don't need to do crimes any longer to promote.

Give us a reason to continue to do crimes, and to steal cars. Provide bullets, to make the individual player a threat to crews, and to state and nation dons. Provide extra options to steal cars. provide us with extra options and uses for cars.

Give us extra ways to maintain bullet counts within crews to make being in a crew worthwhile, instead of just the "thing to do". Give crews extra defenses, and extra offensives, allow crews the ability to remove state dons by coordination, and by working together amassing bullets in such a way that only multiple people can do who HAVE their own crew.
make it more difficult to "new school" by providing crews with protection, a setup of "council members" some control of the crew, BM'ing everyone online all at once, Donating to a crew bullet bank, using the crew bank as it should be used, as a safe the boss can ACTIVELY pull from and use. Giving extra available protection to people within a crew than being on their own.

Currently the only benefit to being in a crew is free gun and protection upgrades. There should be a lot more to crews than that. It should be harder to kill a crewed member than a single player trying to make their way. I guess what I am saying is in the bootlegger community we WANT this game to succeed in a big way, As much time and effort the admins and owner has put into this game compares little with the time and effort each player puts in the game daily.

This is our game as much as yours BSF, we players love it as much as you do. Help us get the most out of this experience.
