Old is Gold. Zirconium

A typical boring day on Bootleggers...I was browsing the forums and I noticed a post that caught my eye, “Stryfe not in EG”. My curiosity got the better of me, I ventured though the thread and realised Stryfe had been kicked out of the Elite Guard due to inactivity. “Fair enough” I thought, he hadn’t been online much but a part of me was moved...another “old school” veteran would quit the game. How long before there would actually be not a single soul from a few years back?

Yet, Stryfe did not leave quietly. In fact, he wreaked havoc amongst The Vanguard. Much to the majority’s displeasure and the minority’s pleasure, Stryfe gave us a reminiscing dose of the “oldschool Bootleggers” that was so often experienced back in the days. Although against the rules, Stryfe brought some “lulz” to the game, the best thing to have happened to Bootleggers since Andy’s short stay away. Although no longer in the Elite Guard, Stryfe’s Moderator privileges appeared to be intact. A sudden wave of inspiration and much talk of The Regulators made Stryfe remove members from the crew The Vanguard and take it over himself, re-naming the crew The Regulators. Not only that, it was held by a scum.

As if all that wasn’t enough, he made the help Desk worthwhile: http://i40.tinypic.com/2wq8zs2.png

So, I’ll take this opportunity to say goodbye to Stryfe and other players that were there 4 years ago and truly understand what it means to be “oldschool”. Being there wasn’t enough. Actually being a part of the fun was.
