BL's Night of Lag Mikamon

On January the 15th from 7:30pm to 10pm BL-Time, the Bootleggers server suffered sever lag and even dowtime. In a Game Forum Important thread, Sabin explained what had happened to Bootleggers, “Today, the MySQL server was experiencing problems and parts of the database crashed. While this was happening, the website was unavailable for a couple hours.”

It must have been quite a shock for both Sabin and BSF2000 to witness the crash of the server and seeing the player data endangered. However, “thanks to some quick work by BSF2000 and myself (Sabin), we were able to save nearly all of the data, including 100% of your stats, profiles, forums, crews, and most other aspects of the game.”

As a result of Bootleggers being down, players crowded the IRC, causing a nice and busy channel that allowed people to have fun with one another while the game was being fixed. The busy channel even amused the Administrators themselves as Sabin thanks everyone “for that nice game of "I Spy" on IRC!”

Meanwhile, the Elite Guard is working very hard on fixing the problem and preventing it from happening again. Making sure our data is still safe. This to the sadness of a small portion of the players who used the Important to announce they wouldn't have minded to get lost so the game would witness a reset. Luckily for the majority, the data was saved and we can all continue to play without difficulty.
