In the very beginning of this week, even before the previous Buzz was released, The Family attacked several people, killing a total of 37 accounts. For some reasons, the majority of the players didnt know about this spree. Partly because the killed people were not in crews, mostly because the statistics bug doesnt show any killed people. The Buzz had a little chat with one of the shooters, CriminallyInsane, and got some interesting information.
The shootings were done by two shooters, both part of The Family, CriminallyInsane and nowerefast, who spent approximately 1,1 million bullets. On the reasons of the spree, CriminallyInsane said, The targets were notorious rich players, killed mainly to increase the value of our own members wealth. They succeeded in this, as they removed a total of eighteen billion from the game. Regarding the results of the spree, CriminallyInsane insane said, We had hoped to remove more. But you never know how much they have, and even so, one always wants more than what one got.
We finally asked him to comment on the new kill-feature, he said, Other than the bugs we know of, mainly that the victims dont appear on the statistics and the attempts page is a bugged, but other than that its ok. The shoot-out is pleasurable, takes a bit long, but for these targets that didnt really matter. I can see this feature being a great one in the future, but as for now it has a few disadvantages. So, with this new feature it appears it is still possible to do a proper wipe, the ones that claim the opposite were proved wrong, once again.
The Family then, removed about four percent of the total amount of ingame money, therefore increasing the value of their own money thus making them more powerful. That might also be a warning to the Notoriously Rich people as we do not know if they will strike again.
