A H.I.L.L. Rises! IShallPersevere

With the dropping of Eternal Labyrinth came a crew spot which was for sale, available for any budding crew bosses to try their hand at running a crew, or perhaps the return of an old favourite. Well, after a relatively short time, the spot was purchased by The H.I.L.L. Family, a crew which had made appearances on the stats in previous rounds. The Buzz caught up with xClaartjex, Boss of The H.I.L.L. Family, to see what had prompted the return to the stats, and what the crew would plan on doing now they had made their entrance.

There is little known about The H.I.L.L. Family this reset, therefore we began the interview by asking Claartje for a brief history of the crew. She responded by telling us, “The H.I.L.L. Family was founded in September of 2005 by my husband, Imitation9.” Clearly then the crew has been established for a long time, allowing it to build up a good unit of members. She went on to say, “We had the crew until about May 2006, when one of our crew bosses decided he was bored with the game and gave our crew away without permission.” Clearly then The H.I.L.L. Family may not of had the best of experiences on the stats previously, however they clearly feel these problems have now been addressed and the crew is able to now continue on the stats.

With the attacks on various crews being the thing that lead to the crew spot becoming available for The H.I.L.L. Family to purchase, the Buzz wondered if the decision to return to the stats had been planned or was more of a spontaneous decision. When asked about this, Claartje told us, “Imitation9 and I had pretty much quit the game at the end of 2006. Partly due to the fact we were moving across country, and partly because I was very pregnant at this time. But our friends never quit bugging us to come back to the game. So around September of last year, we both returned to BL. Ever since we returned our old HILL family members who still played the game wanted us to bring the crew back to the stats, but we were reluctant to do so. About 2-3 months ago we started to make plans to get a crew spot. So I guess you could say we had been planning for a while.” Clearly the crew members feel passionately about the crew, as with this encouragement to bring the crew back the bosses have now responded. However the shootings clearly played a key part in this, allowing the crew to purchase a spot and make its comeback.

With crews that were viewed by users as strong being shot this week, with what seemed like relative ease, the Buzz wondered how The H.I.L.L. Family viewed its own chances of survival on the statistics page. We put this to Claartje, whom responded, “Well, you never know what's going to happen next on this game... but we hope to be here for a long time!” This shows that The H.I.L.L. Family is under no illusions that it is some sort of untouchable group of players, but may feels that, with a bit of luck and effort, it will remain a part of the statistics page for a long time.

Finally, with different crews appearing and all with different aims and goals, the Buzz wondered what The H.I.L.L. Family would aim to achieve while the crewremain on the statistics page. Claartje told us, “Just to have fun and recreate the great atmosphere we had in our old crew. This is a game after all.” Despite the good nature of this crew, with other examples of crews looking to have fun such as The Taedium earlier in the reset, the success of The H.I.L.L. Family will be closely followed by all. For now though, happy gaming!
