R-E-S-P-E-C-T TheSnake

It has caused much controversy over the past week or so with many arguments or heated discussions in the Game Forum and more than a few accusations aimed at LukkyB. What is it that could have caused this much friction? Could it be a few kills? Some insults flying around through the Boot Mail network? Certainly not a picture — a harmless little picture?

When asked about it, LukkyB stated, “…simply put – it’s the graphic representation of the respect you’ve earned (or haven't earned) from me. It’s nothing more than that. It changes as my respect changes”.

It seems that the meter is indeed harmless but many of Bootleggers' finest would react very differently to how LukkyB intended. Lots of people have said that his respect meter is childish or that there is no point to it - and several people have been surprised by their standings with LukkyB.

However you feel your relationship with LukkyB is, he may think differently and this can be a nasty shock—but it is not there to offend anybody. It is “nothing more” than “the respect you've earned from me”.

I, as I'm sure many of the Bootleggers public, will be interested to see how this develops - and to see whose respect meter grows and whose shrinks. Whether you are displayed on it or not, it is an interesting addition to the controversial issues that seem to have grown in Bootleggers in the past month which help to make the game more interesting.
