Say it with me--GRAPHIC NyxxieV2

Who’s the moron who entitled an art form that is known as graphics, “pics” on the Bootleggers community? That should be the question many of us professional graphic designers should ask.

A pic, or picture is an end result to a roll of film or an event or time instilled in a piece of paper to remember forever. A graphic is a graphic display generated by a computer, saved onto a hard drive, CD, flash drive or if you’re going old school; a floppy disc.

Although “pic” is easier to type than “graphic”, there are many abbreviations of the word used today in the virtual world such as “GFX”.

And please, for the sake of my IQ, calling anyone a “maker” isn’t any better. Sure, graphic designers make things, but all in all, they DESIGN them. So please, lets try refraining from using that word as well. Say it with me; graphic designer. Good.

Today, we should all make a stand against the word usage of “pic”. All graphic designers should stand high against this monstrosity of a word and together; we shall take over the world! – The Bootleggers world, that is.
