July 19th, what a strange day! ShitOutOfLuckAgain

What a day. I believe that this is the day that the players took over Bootleggers, or at least tried pretty hard to!

It all started out with a game forum post explaining, with accurate detail, that LukkyB, one of Bootleggers' most popular picture makers and crew bosses, was a fake.

Apparently he was copying art work from a Howard Sayles. In Mr. Sayles' gallery he had many of the same pictures that LukkyB had. Now, there has been no testimony from Lukky himself, but it is known that LukkyB is not Howard Sayles, and that apparently Mr. Sayles is Lukky's mentor, whether this is actually true, has also yet to be confirmed.

Anyways, it appears that Lukky has copied many of these works through out Bootleggers' history. Discussion was all going well until the thread was deleted. Apparently an HDO went out to explain that the thread was moved, but a bug deleted it instead. Of course this hasn't been confirmed, but it remains in my mind as false. (Edit by the Editors: This is a well known bug. When a topic is moved either posts within the thread get deleted or the whole thread itself.)

However, PhilDeGrave, made a Game Forum thread questioning Sabin directly saying that the thread about LukkyB was Game Related. Sabin did come out directly and argue his point. I was temporarily banned in the process of giving my point, by none other than Sabin. It was caused by me bringing up professional wrestling in a topic where professional wrestling wasn't the main topic at hand. I can't appeal it because it's temporary, but I still don't see why I can't say 'Professional Wrestling' in the Game Forum. I mean, if I make a thread about it, it gets moved to the Off Topic Forum. Perhaps Sabin is still upset about something.

Although, I probably shouldn’t be trying to appeal my ban here, because by the time this is published, I’ll be out playing again.

I am naturally taking the side of the player, being one, I know that it is frustrating when over looked by the staff because of your apparent insignificance. But seeing as when you're right, but you're not being heard, it's annoying. Now, I tip my cap to the staff members that actually read what you're saying before they delete it for reasons only known to them.

Anyways, this isn't supposed to be my rant, but Sabin later locked the thread saying that he understands that PhilDeGrave thinks he's right, and that only dreamnid or BSF2000 have the power to over rule his decision, but neither of them two would ever really want to take the time out and do that. There was much discussion about whether the topic should be in the Game Forum and why.

Sabin never admitted that the other side was right, ever, even when they were, completely. But as the masked V, from V for Vendetta once said, "People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people" There should be more out breaks like this. Being an experienced player, I know that today has been one of the most interesting days of Bootleggers in a long time.
