The Pursuit Of Goldenness JustDrew

If there’s one thing that always seems to bring the excitement level up on Bootleggers, it’s a good crew shooting. This moment can make or break a crew and really seems to define who they are and even what they will become. Will they survive or attempt to make a comeback? Will they disappear for good? Those are the questions we ask ourselves. When members of Revelation also known as Rev get shot, we instead just wonder how quickly they will be back on the Stats Page.

This is due to the fact that the members of Rev have died numerous times, in fact, probably more then any crew around these days. The inside joke is that they even enjoy it as they work towards the golden death status. One member even sent me a bootmail stating, “56 days alive this time? I was starting to get bored.” That is what makes Rev so much fun to have around. They realize that this has always been and will always be a game. There’s no need to take things so serious all of the time as we are all here for one goal, to have fun!

Fun was exactly what many of us had amongst all of the commotion on the game forums Monday morning. One by one, 40 members of Revelation were shot in what I like to call the pursuit of Goldenness. The shootings were courtesy of Cobalt, a hired gun of cicciona A.K.A. bigmomma1. Many of you will remember her as a former Help Desk Operator and the proud Boss of Famiglia Tiratore. But why were the members of Rev shot this time?

It appears to have all boiled down over a Bullet Factory that was not returned to Sempre Famiglia when asked for. I asked bigmomma1 about this property and she was kind enough to offer a better explanation. “The bf was returned to SF after some negotiation as it was my property,” she advised me, further stating that “I did not feel that I should have to negotiate its return.” With the end of the shootings, came the discussions, leaving the game forum full of R.I.P. and witness statement threads. The final numbers were 2 assassins, 6 bosses, 6 respectable bosses, 14 godfathers, 9 legendary godfathers, 3 dons, and a respectable don, leaving 40 Rev members dead.

I was told that more accounts would have been killed if the searches had all properly worked. As a result, the Rev crew spot wasn’t dropped in this attack. A thread was made on the game forum shortly after this attack by bigmomma1 stating, “Many of my friends have now decided to stop playing the game and I am getting a little bored with it,” she said, adding “as I know Rev love to die, I thought I would spread a little happiness before I quit!” I also spoke to Carlito, the boss of Rev about the attacks but they wished to not offer any comments at this time.

The attacks have come and gone, leaving members of Revleation with the rebuilding process, one they are all too familiar with. In the game forum thread created by bigmomma1, a tip was left for them saying, “I would think twice next time you decide to hold someone’s property and refuse to return it.” For now this appears to be the end of this situation but as we all know it may be far from over.
