New Weapon Moatilliatta

Bootleggers’ TOS violators can now be caught and banned, all thanks to a new tool being used by our very own Moderators.

On visiting Bootleggers’ Game Forum this morning, I couldn’t help but notice the large amount of topics, all of which having the same theme: bans.

On reading closer the sheer amount of these bans seemed significantly bigger. The damage was approximately six State Dons, two HDOs, various Casino owners, and many more players.

So why were these players banned? Some players were calling it an "Automatic Dupe Banning System," though due to various comments from Bootleggers staff on these topics, it seemed this wasn’t the case. There is no automatic system, just a major breakthrough in finding and banning players who break the TOS by owning more than one account and interacting.

The tool searches and displays all the possible dupes to the moderators, usually with 20-30 pieces of evidence, in a matter of seconds. The moderators then have the final decision of whether to ban or not. This new tool was used on Friday to ban these TOS violators.

So what will this mean for Bootleggers?

This will mean a significant decrease in the amount of players who violate the TOS; which they agreed on upon signing up.

But many players believe that this has had negative effects for the game; because of the sudden decrease in players, the mass amounts of points and money lost.

However, others believe this will have a profound positive effect on the game. Now the truly honest players of Bootleggers can play with other honest players, making it more of the game it should be.

So follow the TOS, play honestly and have fun is all I can say.
