Run! It's the cops! Refugee

Police car, police car, police car... Is it just me, or is the forum flooded with topics about the new addition to Auto Burglary. Ever since it was introduced into the game, it seems to be the main attraction and the main topic for discussions. With people talking more and more about it; new and, in my opinion, quite interesting rumors emerged within the community.

So I took it upon myself to investigate and while searching for the answer, I wanted to hear from the general population of Bootleggers about what they think of the Police car.

As players posted their views on the matter, slowly, a shape began to build up. A shape of what the majority of players think about the new feature. And of course, as more and more comments were posted, more and more new rumors and guesses were thrown to me. But we will get to those later.

I have found that most players enjoy the addition. Someone even said, "I like it. There is a new car now and a new reason to do Auto Burglaries. Doing Auto Burglaries every 4 minutes did not attract me until the addition. Now... Well now it really is worth it."

And I must agree. Even I got tired of the same old routine of clicking the Auto Burglary page and getting nothing but a Starpegasus. But now, there is a hidden prize waiting for every one of us with a bit of luck on their side. A special Police car.

But what makes it so special? That is the question I asked myself when I first heard of the car. After doing some research and asking around, I have heard several rumors. I could not resist forwarding some of them to Sabin and asking for an explanation and, of course, if the rumor is true, some sort of verification. Here is what he had to say.

- Using a Police car in an Organized Crime increases the payout.
Maybe. After all, it would be easier to get away, so you have more time to stash the goods! Then again, those cars don't look very big.

- When using a Police car as a getaway car, no Witness Statement is given.
Maybe. After all, getting away from the crime scene would be easier. Then again, isn't a police car rather conspicuous if it's speeding AWAY from the crime scene?

- If a State don comes in possession of a Police car, the user can extort and arrest players in their own states.
Maybe. I guess it all depends on how corrupt you think the cops really are?

- If a shooter uses a Police car as a getaway car and the kill fails, nothing is shown on the victims Attempts page.
Maybe. I'm pretty sure he'd know that he'd been shot though. Unless it was a total miss? Who knows...?

Well, it looks like Sabin does not want us to know just yet. But, I promise you all, that I will keep track on these rumors and as soon as possible, I will let you all know the truth behind them.

It just goes to show you, that no matter what and no matter where, Bootleggers, together with it's staff always knows how to throw in a twist, to make the game interesting.
