You witnessed Sabin kill... Nyxxiekins

If a script, hosted on a private file deep in the database of the www.bootleggers.us domain were to come available to you, would you use it to your advantage? On October 22nd, 893 players walked the wrong path in their Bootleggers' life and chose to use a non-public, active script to gain cash, while others remained innocent and naive.

The script, created by then and current moderator Annihilation, enabled players who used it to gain a total of $10,000 per day. The script was coded to take money from a specific user ID. The ID, when the script was in use and approved of by the Elite Guard, belonged to Annihliation and the money was taken directly from his cash at hand. However, because of reset and the change in user ID's, Sabin was the unlucky soul who owned that specific user ID number. Any player who used the script, was taking $10,000 directly from the Administrator. Due to this, Sabin lost a total of $8,930,000 in one single day, which almost caused him to lose both state-owned Bullet Factories (Illinois and Louisiana).

Upon realizing his grand loss, Sabin figured out the problem and immediately Admin-killed all 893 players. "I've decided NOT to make those cheaters Banned-on-Sight. They only lost the account that got the free money," spoke Sabin of the problem in one (of the many) threads on the topic.

Along with Admin-killing the felons, Sabin added, "This account was killed for stealing money through an obsolete script. This account will not be revived. Thank you," to each and every one of the profiles.

"Using any part of the game in a way that was not intended is exploiting," said Sabin. He ended it his final post about the problem stating, "As far as I'm concerned, the matter is closed."

However, Bootleggers is a land where everyone finds the need to clear the air and complain about their own conscious actions. Amongst those 893 players, some were of an underground crew who went by the name "United Vision." United they stood indeed as most of their players were found using the script and united they fell when the ones found guilty were Admin-killed because of it.

Let's just hope a lesson was learned because of this and everyone chalks the weeks event under experience and continues on a fair path in their Bootleggers' life. Remember, a game isn't worth playing if it isn't a challenge and it isn't much of a challenge when you get by cheating. Have fun, play safe and play fair.
