The Regiment, Gone and Back Again MikaVerLeth

A 200 member spot was a bit too much for The Regiment, a crew with hardly over 50 members. A $2,000,000 daily crew-tax and huge prices for changing the name and crew color made owning the spot difficult. Reason for KingCoastie and CaptainIsh (a.k.a Ishmoo) to make an attempt to change this.

In order to do so, they kicked all members ranked Boss and above until only the crewholder was left. He then committed suicide so the spot would drop and new crew would then be founded. Naturally, with lower costs. However, the game itself brutally interfered with the plans of The Regiment.

Upon trying to have the crew drop, The Regiment had unwillingly discovered a bug in the suicide feature. A crewholder that commits suicide will remain holder of his or her crew. This left the game with a crew that had a dead holder and no member ranked Boss or above to receive the crew from a moderator. The bug was quickly discovered by Shaggerty who created a Game Forum Sticky, letting everyone know the Admins had been notified.

It took some time before something changed. Finally, Stryfe decided to take command of the crew and give it away in a game. The first person to send him an Escrow with 500 points would win the spot. Luck was with The Regiment this time as they won back their spot in the game.

KingCoastie then decided to sell the spot in order for his crew to get stronger. He sold the spot for 3,500 points to Marquez. However, after the deal was made and Marquez announced his own plans we witnessed the return of The Regiment. “I was planning to set up a crew with all friends, but that plan didn't work, because some people were already in crews which they didn't want to leave,” Marquez said.

He kindly explains what happened. “When I saw it didn't work out, I talked with a good friend of mine,” he says. That friend told him to contact Coastie and work out a deal with him. “I suggested sharing the spot with me. Which means I would be Boss of The Regiment together with Ishmoo and him,” Marquez explains. Adding: “That was okay with him, and he payed me a share of the 3,5k points.”

By co-owning the spot with Marquez, Coastie got The Regiment on the statistics once again.
