The Thompson Brothers Redgie

It’s been some time since I was last online and in the Bootleggers community, and since then much has happened to the once great Underground Crew, TTB, The Thompson Brothers. I feel it is only right that I should inform those of you who knew TTB, exactly what did, is, and is going to happen.

First off for those of you who don’t know, I’ll explain who I am, and who TTB are.

The Thompson Brothers was an extremely successful Underground Crew, which was at one stage, more powerful than multiple Stats page crews. TTB was the Underground crew everybody knew, everybody on the game forum anyway, because our daily advertisement for the crew was constantly bumped, and maintained the top spot of the Game Forum for long periods of time. Quickly TTB took off, and after some time, we were ready to move upwards in the world.

Now for the explanation to who I am. My name, as you’ll notice, is Redgie. Anybody who ever read that topic, or who has ever had dealings with me in the past, or even looked at my profile, will know that I am the leader, founder and owner of The Thompson Brothers. I started the crew a few years ago, in the reset preceding this one, but disbanded it soon after, after it emerged that the crew would never be able to compete with the surrounding competition. But during this reset, I decided it was time to bring it back, and that’s exactly what I did. I started playing again, raised my rank to Boss, and set off to re-create TTB, with pictures I made in Paint, and a banner made with a free program from the internet.

Now for the explanation as to what happened.

I can’t possibly defend the actions I took, because it was dam right wrong. I left BL, without really giving a goodbye, for a number of reasons, one being the popular reason of “I got bored of the game”, which I see so often these days. But why am I admitting fault? Because there is no way of getting round the fact I left in a disgusting manner. However! One thing said in an article written by and ex-member for the BL Buzz, stated reasons to believe that I had kept the crew funds. Now it is time to defend myself!

It is true that when I left, I kept the crew funds. Why you ask? Because I never anticipated I would be gone for this long! I left with the intention of spending a single weekend away from the BL world, but discovered something much greater during my time off. This greater thing kept me occupied, for much more than I had ever expected, and led the TTB council to take over.

When contacted, I stated that I would not give back any funds, because I still expected to return. However, when I did eventually return, it was too late. TTB was gone, half the members were dead, and only a select few still had that “Loyal to TTB” sign in their profile, which I still find to this day.

Now however, I’m back, and I can tell you all that I did NOT scam the crew funds! Contrary to popular belief, I never intended to keep them more than that weekend, and I most certainly never intended to scam my own crew.

The old funds are not gone; they have not been spent, and are in fact now worth much more, thanks to Inflation.

Now that’s all I will say, because saying more will only lead opposing gangs to learn more about TTB, which is something I do not want.

TTB is coming back; I am currently in talks with another Underground Crew, which contains many ex-members, about matters I will not disclose here.

Now then, to summarise, I did NOT steal the TTB funds, despite what so many appear to believe. I AM back, with the sole intention of re-generating the legend that was The Thompson Brothers, and yes, TTB’s topic will be in the game forum, very, very soon.
