Girls, Girls, Girls NyxxieV4

On February 2nd, 2006, MrJoris, www.Blhelp.com’s creator brought forth his new creation to the site, the Bootleggers’ Player Album. Much like LordPringle’s old version on his previous help site, the site’s main function is to post and show pictures of the current players.

Players such as Air, StandardRetard, 5Litre and Shaggerty are amongst the bundle of players pictures on the website. Out of the current 27 photos, only 7 of those belong to that of female players.

Scanning over the Game Forum post dedicated to the new addition, many comments have been made on the photos of the females-- some derogatory and sexist, others kind. However, while only a handful of those comments remained free of sexism, the rest seemed to show the true colors of many of the males in this game.

Contrary to some beliefs, females do play this game. Dissimilar to stereotypes, “pretty” girls do play video games and spend their free time on the Internet. To assume that attractive women shy away from the game is ludicrous and at the single reminder that females do roam and play the game, the males of Bootleggers go haywire.

Why is it so out of the ordinary for an attractive female, such as StandardRetard or Veronique, to play a game that is, for the most part, inhabited by men? Is it necessary to bark and howl at the sight of a pretty female? Did your mother not teach you any manners?

This isn’t the 15th century. Women do not appreciate nor take the howling comments of a rather aroused teenage boy and to be honest, we find it repulsive.

Whatever our motive to place our photos on the website, doesn’t constitute you justice to speak your mind in a lewd manner. Is it any wonder why females of the game do not do the same to pictures of the males? It’s called respect and perhaps some should be shown next time a pretty girl’s photo gets uploaded into the database and posted for all to see.
