The Sacred Empire Return. LDub

Just as The Buzz and the Bootlegging public didn't think any more action regarding Crews could be crammed into a week, The Imperium, fresh from being insided by Evolution, were taken over again by the same method, only days later by The Sacred Empire.

Hab87 was the insider and when the shooter killed the Boss, successor and 2 other Dons, it dropped to him. He then hard-kicked everyone for them to be shot with a little less bullets. According to hab87's profile, 22 accounts were killed in the takeover.

I managed to catch up with members of both Crews to see exactly what happened. Firstly, when he registered with a new account, I contacted MWO, one of the Bosses of The Sacred Empire to see how they managed to gain a crewspot and what their plans were from here on out.

When asked why they decided to take over The Imperium, MWO replied that there were two reasons, the main one being "talking big on the forums" and also "having Tony (dupe of Babax) in the spot". I also asked who helped with the takeover to which the answers were, hab87 (the insider) and the shooter who was just regarded as "a TSE member". MWO himself supplied the money and also mentioned they "might sell, going underground for a while" when asked what they were going to do with the crewspot.

Having spoken with one of the Bosses of The Sacred Empire, I then caught up with the Boss of The Imperium, TheWanderer (A.K.A Dagorlad). He declined answering any of my questions but kindly put me forward to Phief, a member of the Directorate of The Imperium. He was able to give some answers in response to what The Sacred Empire's reasons were.

When asked if he had anything to say to The Sacred Empire's reasons for taking over, he replied that "I am completely against duping and if I had suspected there was a dupe within our crew, I would have taken the appropriate action of kicking and reporting through the Help Desk, giving all the reasons why I suspected it was a dupe account".

He further mentioned that if "MWO had truly suspected that one of the accounts with The Imperium was a dupe, then they should have also reported their findings through the Help Desk as well".

He was kind enough to notify me that he hasn't in fact "been back playing this game very long, so some of the characters don't know who I am or what I stand for", and so some questions spring to his mind such as "Who is Baba?" so he couldn't comment on some of the issue.

Penultimately, in answering to the first given reason for attacking The Imperium, Phief replied, "Yes I did notice after being invited to The Imperium that a lot of its' members were 'Formerly Active'". He further added that this was "something given time I would have tried to do something about. Whether MWO wants to cite that as a reason is down to him/her/them".

Finally, when quizzed over whether he felt The Sacred Empire were a threat before the attack, he replied, "As a very small crew with even fewer higher ranks, everybody was a threat to us."

There you have it folks. The most recent event to happen to the ever-changing world of Crews in Bootleggers. Whether revenge will be taken or the crew spot sold and just forgotten about, we'll just have to wait and see.
