Organised Crime - Stress much? DezialBrown

So you're holed up in some grotty safe-house down-town, a single light bulb swaying and casting some unsavory shadows over some unsavory guys. The boss, the big fish, he's laying down the plans with a steely eye and you're taking full note because this is the job that'll set you up and put you deep in the game..

Today's the day, you're sweating over the wheel, waiting for the burst of action from inside, waiting for the scream of the alarms.

You're the guy fixing the plastique to the vault door and hoping you don't blow yourself into pasta and meatballs.

You're the guy keeping the bank staff and customers on their knees and making sure nobody moves...

I drool at the thought of this stress compared to the insanity caused by chasing down a place on a job! Can you imagine the stress of scouring the classifieds, finding a job that hasn't been pulled off, and then being given the wrong directions and ending up 1000 miles away from where the job is? Or how about buying a brand-spanking new car and not being able to use it?

This is the problem facing -many- inexperienced and experienced mobsters alike. Too often is a plan rushed to completion leaving frustration and backstabbing in a bloody, ash-strewn, trail of destruction.

"Ya'll realize ah did gone an bought a purty car with Mary Lou's savings an' she wanna divorce me now ah ain't got no money ta show. Crime done ruined mah life!"

Says one serial car thief and small time armed robber from the deep south who gambled his wife's savings on that 'one big job'.

I chased down a leading Mob Boss to talk about this problem and find out his view;

"You a cop? I don't like cops, get outta here 'fore I string you up!"

Charming!

I leave it to you, readers, to make up your mind on this hotly debated topic!
