Filling a void? Altro
It is undeniable that we do not have as many players as we once did. Even after taking in to account the high level of duping in previous rounds, we are still short of those past magical days of nearly one thousand players online. We are, even, falling short of half that number. So what can be done? In the past year, we have seen the addition of Twitter and Facebook to the Bootlegging community. More recently, the introduction of the Blog and the sharing of promotions via community portals. Partly to increase the community spirit, but also to allow players to share their addiction with their friends.

Now, however, one player has decided to take this a step further. Rakinshu has signed Bootleggers up to a voting gaming site. Players can vote for Bootleggers to increase its ranking and hopefully bring in new gamers. Voting for the game is nothing new, in the past BSF2000 has given away bullets as a reward for voting on MPOGD.com, where Bootleggers has won game of the month four times. Yet it has been over a year since the last competition, and it appears no steps have been taken to try for the title again.

Rakinshu has therefore stepped up to fill the void. Under his own initiative, he has created a topic asking players to vote for Bootleggers on xtermetop100.com. Without reward, players have been voting, raising Bootleggers to 3rd in the current rankings. Nyxxie said, “I totally support this. Nothing but good can come from this.” So why is Rakinshu doing this? Well, in the topic he states that more members will mean less time waiting for an Organized Crime, he also says it will increase the money flow in the game, making it easier to make money. That, he claims, is the reward he wants for creating, running and supporting this enterprise.

So, if you want new players, why not vote for Bootleggers? Check out his topic in the game forum, go to the site, fill in the forms and help bring in new players. After all, it will improve your gaming experience. You never know, you might just win something for your troubles. Nyxxie has already given money away to random voters and she has said, “Giveaways coming soon again.”
