Buzz Awards 2010: Winners McAldarion
The Buzz Awards 2010 story finally ends as the winners of the Awards are announced. Thanks to 146 people, we can announce the winners of the categories as introduced in the past few weeks. Most people who voted confirmed there vote and only these votes were counted. Interestingly, someone submitted roughly 20 votes for people who had just died. As you would expect, these votes were never confirmed. The system we used may have seemed pointlessly time-consuming, but this is one of the only ways to do it fair (as several people try to cheat on the nominations). We would like to congratulate all winners (they will receive a picture within a few days) and also want to thank everyone for voting. Without you, this wouldn’t have been possible!

The winners of the 2010 Buzz Awards are:
  • Best Administrator: 5litre (66% of all votes)
  • Best Moderator: Nyxxie (26% of all votes)
  • Best Help Desk Operator: Mika (23% of all votes)
  • Best Overall Member of Staff: Nyxxie (17% of all votes)
  • Best Overall Player: Betty (51% of all votes)
  • Best Overall Crew: Event Horizon (53% of all votes)
  • Most Powerful Crew: Event Horizon (40% of all votes)
  • Most Generous Player: Zuis (62% of all votes)
  • Most Helpful Player: Aldarion (30% of all votes)
  • Biggest Forum Whore: DTOX (33% of all votes)


Some of the categories were really close:
  • The Family finished four votes behind winner Event Horizon in the category of most powerful crew in 2010.
  • TFKyle finished three votes behind winner Aldarion in the category of most helpful player in 2010.
  • Klere finished two votes behind winner DTOX in the category of biggest forum whore in 2010.


However, some were not:
  • 5litre finished 48 votes ahead of the number two (BSF2000) in the category of best admin in 2010
  • Betty finished 36 votes ahead of the number two (DA) in the category of best overall player in 2010
  • Event Horizon finished 44 votes ahead of the number two (The Family) in the category of best overall crew in 2010
  • Zuis finished 51 votes ahead of the number two (Fivelitre) in the category of most generous player in 2010
