COLUMN: Personal Review of the Year POI2000

2010 is nearly over, and as this is the last issue of the year we at the Buzz have decided to give you our own personal review of 2010. If you have had a more exciting year or you simply want to make your year a bit more known then submit a freelance article to be published next week.

So sitting down to write about my 2010 on Bootleggers, I struggled to know where to start. Then it struck me, how could I forget it was so glaringly obvious! January, yes that’s right. Well to be perfectly honest and frank my memory compares to that of a sieve with golf ball sized holes in it and some of you who know me may remember more about it than I do (and if you do, feel free to let me know!). So I decided to abandon the idea of chronological order and to simply write about a few highs and lows of my year, so here they are, enjoy!

Highlight 1- Shooting some bullet factory owners

For those of you who don’t remember, and I would be rather surprised if anyone did, back in August I attempted to shoot for all of the Bullet Factories. Not particularly because I wanted them or because I thought I had any chance of keeping then but simply for a bit of fun, as well as checking response times and getting a bit more accuracy into a bullet calculator a group I was involved in were planning to use for future attacks (read about what in my lows of the year). My shootings failed due to some excellent power searching on me from MS13 and a poor use of detectives leading to some targets being found in the incorrect places.Regardless of the fact that I failed I really enjoyed the shooting and that’s why it’s on my highlight list for 2010!

The Buzz article written on the shootings can be found here- http://www.bootleggers.us/buzz/index.php?issue=41&view=590

Highlight 2-Being a Buzz Writer

During the last five months of this year I have been part of the Buzz team (with a break occurring in the middle) and while I can tell you that a lot of hard work is put in by all the writers and it can sometimes be quite stressful I have really enjoyed it. I have met a lot of great people in my time writing from the Buzz and embarrassingly I enjoy the small sense of celebrity. Some particular highlights of writing for the Buzz have been interviewing Mika right after his promotion to Moderator and talking to Aldarion about becoming Buzz Editor as well as covering one of the biggest sprees in the history of Bootleggers!

’Lowlight’ 1-Losing over $500,000,000

As I mentioned earlier I was planning quite a large shooting with a group of like minds. We were fairly far into our plan with 8 shooters stocked with over 700,000 and with $500,000,000 between them, and they were all shot whether by coincidence or carelessness on our part in guarding the wealth and role of our shooters. The plan was quite a grand one with no real gains for ourselves other than the grandeur of what we were planning to do, which was quite a simple (although immensely difficult) thing to do- kill every casino and bullet factory owner as well as State and Nation Don and to wipe the states page clean, picking up with casinos where possible and replacing two of the State Dons with our own high ranked members. Quite a plan, but regrettable not one that came off.

So there you have it, two highlights to one low so it must have been a good year! I hope yours has been too and I hope 2011 is even better, an early Happy New Year to you all!
