A new round, a new start ... a new competition to get your name on the States page!
Just like every other player on here, when this round started I had my sights set on owning a casino. For me it was to be New York Slots. Inevitably though, I lost all my cash through gambling and this dream never became a reality. For many others though, this did become a reality and they were soon able to pick up the casinos they wanted.
As expected, bullet factories were the first to have all gone. Followed soon after by the slot machines themselves. The question that remains to be answered though, why was Illinois the first state to have no available properties? With casinos available elsewhere, what made the owners choose Illinois?
As a gambler, I always tend to gamble on the state I find myself in at the time. I don't ask about for the best max bet and I certainly don't choose to bet on a casino because of the person who owns it. It goes without saying, however, if I did see an owner with a "food stamps applicant" wealth status, I wouldn't hesitate in trying to bust their casino.
So how do I just "find myself" in a certain state to gamble in? Through bootlegging and missions of course. If I was completing the second mission for example, I would be spending a lot of time in New Jersey and the casinos over there would certainly reap the benefits from my limited gambling ability. Bootlegging can also lead to you being in every state at some point, if you have the strength to carry your booze. Get yourself to the gymnasium!!!
So this begs the question, why was Colorado so slow to be completely taken over? Knowing what I know now about the fourth mission and how long it takes to steal RobertMoretti's car back from the police, I would certainly have had my sights set on Colorado slots instead of the New York Slots! Using my own experience, I know it takes a lot of attempts until you get the elusive car back from the Denver Police Station, so that leaves a lot of spare time to fill. A lot of spare time to spend gambling?
I've spoken to the current casino owners (at the time I made my report) and the owner of the bullet factory in Illinois, so let's see what they have to say! I sent every owner a set of questions and I've chosen a few of their answers for you to have a look at:
MiXin, keno owner:
If you bought it from the state, what made you choose Illinois? Its the most populated city in the gaim. Would you rather your casino be in another state? If so, which state? Illi the best
Croatoan, Slot owner:
Would you rather your casino be in another state? If so, which state? Illinois FTW.
Phelix, RT owner:
If you bought it from the state, what made you choose Illinois? I think the main reason why people chose to pick up the Illi state casino's are the booze runs on cognac last week. Illinois became a busy state with allot of players with booze profits. Casino-owners try to have as many gamblers as possible gambling on their casino's, which leads them to pick up those of Illi. Illinois than is thé state to gamble, even though the booze profits fell.
Huntenkill, Roulette owner:
If you bought it from the state, what made you choose Illinois? I did not buy it, but I wouldve picked Illinois to. Cause most players start in Illinois! Would you rather your casino be in another state? If so, which state? Nope :3
BootsToAsses, Bullet Factory owner:
If you bought it from the state, what made you choose Illinois? We bought it from the state directly not from any players , We Love The Windy City Babe we just felt that illinois will have alot of activity in it Would you rather your bullet factory be in another state? If so, which state? We like The windy city and no i would not like anyother State BF
Well there you have it. Clearly the people of Illinois are happy with their choice. Their answers varied, but as you can see, Illinois seems to be a popular state and none of them would rather own property elsewhere!
So why do you like Illinois?
Do you feel it's the most popular state in the game?
Do you come here for the booze prices?
Did you start here when you made your account?
Make your mind up about this place, but one thing's for sure … you'll always have a casino to gamble on. Enjoy!
