Round 7. One hundred Buzz issues published. During which time I have had an article in at least half of them. I even published one! And now we come to an end of the round and the end of the Buzz until round 8. It is quite an overwhelming feeling to have been apart of the Buzz team for so long! But in the revelation that this is it, I wanted to say a few things to my fans out there!
First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who has read even one of my articles. If you have read them all then you are amazing! But even if no one reads them I still feel privileged to have been able to give back tot he Bootleggers community in some small way. I write purely because I enjoy writing and Bootleggers has given me a focus, a reason for writing and has majorly improved my writing skills through the last two years!
But now that is all coming to an end. The round is over and a new Buzz team will be formed for next round. There is a high chance I will not be in this team anymore due to events that have transpired throughout my time with the Buzz. If the choice was up to me, or even the editor and mods, than I would not hesitate to continue to entertain and report on events happening within the game. But outside influences change things for everyone. So we shall see what happens!
The biggest message I have for the community as a whole is this: we need new writers for the Buzz for the start of round 8. If you have occasionally thought that you could do a better job or wanted to be a part of an elite group who remain as impartial as possible, than please apply. The Buzz needs a good strong team who can dissect the new features coming, keep track of the first people to rank up and buy property and even follow the first and strongest crews. Maybe this sounds dull to you, but it is the news that we can expect to see at the start of the round and you could always try to make it more entertaining!
No matter what you think of the Buzz, or it's specific writers, always remember that we write for the community as a whole and we volunteer. We have no special privileges or rewards and we do it because we enjoy it! If you dislike something we write you shouldn't hate us for it or try to troll us or, even worse, shoot us purely for what we do! Instead why not write a counter article? Why not join the team yourself and voice your opinion?
Over the past two years one hundred full issues have come out! Many writers have come and gone and there have even been a few editor changes. Plans have been disrupted and features died out in their early days. But to everyone who has been a writer I have a message for you! It has been my honour and privilege to work with you! Thank you all and hopefully we shall work together again during the new round when you all come back! If I am not one of you, I shall not forget my time with the Buzz.
