Gangsters Sanctuary vs The Sacred Empire Poison

On Wednesday we saw a simultaneous attack carried out on The Sacred Empire and their sub-crew Bushido by Gangsters Sanctuary, continuing their ongoing feud. We got in touch with those involved to find out a little more.

The Game Forum became a rather crowded place as the RIP topics of over 50 accounts were killed by the four shooters from Gangsters Sanctuary flooded the forum. Within a couple of hours both crews were reduced to less members ranked Boss+ than you could count on one hand, and by the end of the week, both crews had vanished from the statistics page, undoubtedly to plot their revenge. We thought we’d get in touch to find out more.

Before we get in to the interviews, just a quick recap of a little information that I’m sure most of you will have seen, that was posted by Slaine, boss of Gangsters Sanctuary on the Game Forum after the attacks, which sums up their thoughts nicely.

“I aint going to make a huge topic kissing our own ass. I’m simply going to point out a couple of things

reason why we shot TSE/bushido is cause of MWO threatening us a few days ago + we get Intel all the time that they are planning this and that. Can’t let that pass. So here you go.

Thanks to a2k, riggs, heartogjan and thadthemanroberts for shooting.

And a public apology to prince and rumrunner for not including you in this, as you are council you should be included with everything and in the future, i will be better at this. My apologies. <3”

We thought the best place to start for information on the subject would be Slaine, and left their four shooters in peace. We started with the obvious, and asked why Gangsters Sanctuary had decided to attack The Sacred Empire now, he told us it was because “TSE has kept going on and on that they want to shoot us, and we have gotten intel from several people that they have been lookin around to get loans for searchmoney etc... + mwo has admitted that he is going to kill us.” So a shooting in self defence is how Slaine would like it to be seen, after all, attack is the best form of defence, some say.

However, although the crews attacked have now vacated the statistics, on the day of the shooting the job wasn’t finished and both crews still sat upon the stats. We asked why the wipe of both crews hadn’t been completed, “they got 3 new members like half an hour before searches were done” we were told, “and we figured that if they kept the spot taxes would eat through their capital anyway so we went ahead and shot knowing we wouldnt drop.”

Such an attack must have taken a considerable amount of time to plan, and a large sum of money to fund. We put the question to Slaine and he explained that they had used about 1.2-1.3 million bullets (interestingly only 400k more that was used to shoot plax) to kill around 50 players, and it cost them “in total somewhere like 20k pts, 25mil searchmoney + cars etc.. and some crewbullets.“ So certainly not a cheap endeavour.

The cost of such an attack is not only reflected in the capital spent in the act of shooting, though. The risk of retaliation and losing high ranks, a crew spot, and any money on hand is a real risk too. We asked Slaine what he thought of the chances of retaliation, he told us that “after all ive read from pissed off TSE people, i will be very dissapointed if we wont atleast loose a few ranks.” Referring to the posts in his Game Forum topic, “but threaten with insiding after something like this aint honerable at all. so gustos comment just made me laugh. but ah well, lets hope they are more men than that “.

We at the Buzz seriously doubt this is the end of the story, and we hope it’s not. Watch this space.
