For as long as Bootleggers has been frequented by players there has always been a very strong element of competition within the community. The main ways in which we compete with our peers on Bootleggers is through our rank and wealth, thus those of us with the highest ranks or perceived to have the most money tend to become targets. This has been displayed over and over again already in this, the seventh round of the game. In last weeks edition of the Buzz Executor followed the story of the killing of the highest ranked player on the game; plax. Also in recent weeks we have witnessed the killing of Darkness, believed by many to be the first player this round to have a wealth status of Incredibly Rich.
The most recent bout of kills came this week on the 28th of April shortly after the emergence of the second player being promoted to Respectable Don this round. As the majority of you will hopefully realise by now it is possible to hide your rank of Respectable Don and Legendary Don, meaning that other players will only view your rank as Don. This lead to a huge amount of speculation over who the new highest ranking player on the game could be.This speculation coupled with the competitive desire of some players sparked the six kills that this article focuses on.
The players that were targeted were picked very tactically by their killer including the players ranking to Don first and second this round (Rabadino and Aircooled respectively). The Respectable Don was indeed killed in the shootings, the identity of who was revealed subsequent to his killing as Croatoan aka Pokey. The other three players killed in this group of shootings were; ManuelRamirez, Rod and Melabo.
Due to the nature of the current kill and witness statement features it has proved extremely difficult to locate the shooter(s) of these kills, I caught up with Aircooled on his new account and asked him if he had any light to shed on a possible suspect, I received this response;
We've recovered two ws for different people and both of them said it was hunter one was 98% and the other was 86%. I can't seem to find anyone with my ws but that's just how good the ws feature is, Apart from this I don't know much more to be honest

These killings seem much more strategic and less sporadic than the killing of Plax, it would seem that the killer(s) had a pre determined outcome in mind of removing the highest ranking player in the game, one which they accomplished.
Possible reasons for wanting this outcome can be speculated about wildly but for now I can unfortunately not offer you any facts. As I write this article another player has been promoted Respectable Don, lets hope for their sake the killer is not planning another spree, In the event that they do, you shall see a follow up article from the Buzz this time next week.
