FlameS Hot Topics FlameS

Hello fellow Bootleggers, and welcome to my second article exploring player opinions on a wide range of topics. This week I asked for your opinions on Updates, and Organised Crimes (OC's).

Updates

Updates are something being widely discussed in recent weeks following the announcement and subsequent implementation of them by BSF2000 this week. I intend to keep this column current by keeping the topics up to date, therefore the first item up for discussion was “If you were in control of what was updated, what changes would you make first and why?” I am pleased to say I had excellent feedback from a number of players, and some of them are listed below;

Updates; If you were responsible for updating the features of BL, what would you redesign as a matter of urgency, how would you change it and why?

We had a discussion in crew and we woud chose to update crews. Why, because the mafia world is dependent on crew/family. They should be a coveted item in BL not easily dropped and torn apart by a lone shooter. They should be a more integral part of the game. These are some of the ideas we have come up with:

• Hard kick should be limited to 2 within a 24 hour period a crew should never need to use it more often than that.

• Crew sniper or something so that if your crew is getting shot you are not stuck sitting around with your thumb up your ass waiting hours for a) to get shot or b) detective to get back to you. Maybe this could be done with a system where when someone shoots at a crew, any crew member in the same state as the target and online should get a pop up saying a member has been shot. They should get the option to shoot bullets back at the shooter (this pop up should only last about 10 seconds, but happen for every single shooting).

• Provide a way for fund to be removed from the crew bank

• Allow a crew to set not just crew holder and successor but to fill positions in the crew, such as council and recruiter.

• A crew could buy influence with people in each state that would inform them if a PI was out looking for them. Or for the PI to give the crew faster searches.

• Have crews be able to obtain cheaper hospital/shooting range in a state that they ‘own or dominate’.

In your Hot topics, you said what would I update and why. Me and a large proportion of other users, feel there are FAR too many crew slots considering the activity/player base. When a crew takes 2days to sell at 200points, something is clearly wrong. There are multiple new crews that haven't been 'tried and tested' because there are so many spots they don't have to be fought over, personally I would reduce them down to 10, some have even mentioned 8.

Naturally I would first update the features that actually should have been updated a long time before, let's start of with the FAQ, this to me seems a very urgent update, what happens to new players who don't know anything about the game.
The only place where they can go is to the GF and we all know what kind of people troll around there.

A second thing would be to update the missions, I think most people finished the missions in like one or two weeks after the reset and have been waiting for 3 months for new ones.

Another update would be the entire casino section, I know BSF mentioned this is in the process but it's taking way to long, the new type of casinos was introduced quite a while ago ...

Most of the features are fine, they just could use some tweaking.

OC's

Organised Crimes (OC's) are amongst the most important features that Booteggers has to offer. They provide perhaps the best form of ranking as well as an excellent source of profit. This week I asked for your opinion on how you prefer OC's to be managed, and your prefference of the benefits they offer, for example do you setup your OC, or join one for profits or rank? Do you tend to stick to one state? Do you always use the same setup when you lead? I'm glad to say that a number of players left their opnions in my inbox on this topic as well, some of them are below

Rank is better because ranks do not affect the amount in the vault.
The setup I usually go for is: Leader/Weapons Expert/Explosives Expert/Driver giving 25% to everyone!
I usually host the OC in either Illinois or Michigan because that's my booze route! However, I noticed that the payout of an OC is quite higher during the night time with only 150 people online compared to the day time OC.

Ocs - Honestly, I've never been in a hurry to rank, it took me 117 ocs to hit don. But in an oc, I never let scum in. At least thug. And its more on principal really, a thug shows they've either conned their way into an oc, or they crimes their way up. Shows a bit more character than, please oh my god lemme oc ill take 0%. That borders on begging to me...
I don't stick to one state, the vaults are usually pretty good in Colorado, penny, and Michigan, but aren't always. My set up is always 25% all, no matter the rank, driver deusy, Explosives Expert c4, weapons expert Thompson, and myself. I rarely 2 car oc, and I join those, never lead.

Since I'm a bit of a heavy gambler the vault is obviously the most important part to me, most of the time I don't even check what other ranks are in.

Mostly I use a driver with either a duessy or a beauford an EQE and WE.

I tend to do oc's in different states.
