A Few Harmless Questions powerbear

This week in the Game Forum, there was a topic with a link to a questionnaire asking your views and experiences with the Kill, Hitlist and Witness Statement systems within the game. Throughout this article, I am going to share with you the findings.

Thank you to the 96 of you that answered this and I apologise for the errors that occurred when I first put this out, making it difficult to read and answer. 57% of you have died this round leaving 43% of you still yet to experience the grim reaper knocking.

51% of you have not shot, so over half of the players surveyed are yet to use such a big feature within the game, one we all go crazy for. The most popular way to purchase bullets is through the bullet factory, 75% of bullets are obtained this way, points account for 15% and bullet factories owned by crews is the remaining 10%.

Most players shot alone, though as I remember the results for this question might not be accurate as originally this is one of the problem questions. Omitting the results that might be affected by this, reveals 68% of players shot alone and 32% used partners.

The most popular reason for shooting is for revenge with 38 votes. This is followed by offensive players and requested kills with 28 votes each. Only one person would kill for a false witness statement and 21 people have or would kill for a bounty from the Hitlist. Some other reasons included being told by a Crew boss, Car thefts, inactive account shooting and users seen as potential threats to ones crew.

Now, I draw onto the Hitlist. This is a risky way to make a lot of money in some cases, I won't bore you with how the Hitlist works, as I'm sure you all know. As it can be risky to kill somebody with a very high bounty and a great cost to keep the Paid By party anonymous, the amount of players willing to pay this is low. 19% of you have named a target and 16% have been potential targets. Such a low amount could be due to players shooting their own targets or the money involved must make the offence something special to be named and shamed with a bounty.

One other thing new to this round, is the false witness statements. 20% of you have been accused because of a false witness statement whereas only 6% of you admit to accusing somebody falsely. Though the fun with this feature, is we will never know for definite. Players may own up to their kills however others may be paid to take the blame. Screenshots can be faked and claims denied. I know this isn't the case in most kills however it is a possibility.

Finally, your thoughts on the witness statement set up. This has received mixed reviews, mostly positive however some negative points have been well made. Here are a few of your comments.

"I like it, stops people 'playing it safe', this is supposed to be the mafia, it's never safe!"

"Its a nice idea but you cant really trust a witness statement any more. I killed 3 people in order to revenge my death and still don't know if I've got the killer."

"It would be okay if you could, say, buy a witness statement, then get a private detective to check it's authenticity so that you could be sure. As is, there's always an element of doubt and if you have a 75% witness statement but someone shows you screens of a blank kill page, you're kind of in a lose-lose situation."

"Legendary Godfather killing Legendary Don vs Thug killing Legenedary Don. It is kind of hard to believe that a Thug can kill a Legendary Don even with a S&W .38 with 0% skill. "

Thank you for filling out these questions and reading, be sure to vote in next weeks questionnaire.
