Wednesday night, nothing exciting happening, a few crimes here, jail busts there, until a crew purchase went sour.
Asap had advertised Outlawz Order for sale and was approached from potential buyer HouseOfLies, unaware the username held more truth than he expected. For the sum rumoured to be 3,500 points, HouseOfLies offered to buy the crew, Asap accepted this generous offer and handed control over to HouseOfLies. This is where things started to turn awry.
This rookie error gave HouseOfFlies the upper hand. By not using a mutual party as a middleman, HouseOfLies was free to hard kick every member of the crew, including Asap, leaving him in charge of a crew spot for free. There were a few topics in the Game Forum calling Asap a noob and calling HouseOfLies a scammer however mostly the events were kept secret, we didn't even know until an anonymous tip off.
Following this we contacted Asap wondering how much was offered for the Outlawz Orderand were told "The deal we agreed to was 3,500 Points." We also wondered if HouseOfLies refuse to pay until Asap had handed the crew over? "I trusted houseoflies he was someone who I thought was a friend, all I have learned from this was to choose your friends wisely becuase there are players out there that will change the second they have the chance too."
The Buzz were still trying to figure out how such a mistake could be made. Perhaps Asap or HouseOfLies only wanted to work directly to avoid time taken up finding a middle man as it was late in Wednesday night. "Yes, we waited for a middle man to come online for a few hours, please note that it was late where I lived I go by BL time so I was getting tired, I figured a friend I could trust." Wondering if this quick sales method would be used again by Asap, we asked if he'd sell a crew directly to the player without a middle man again? "Never" was his reply. Is there anything else Asap has to say to HouseOfLies? "No but I have a message for BSF2000, Please hurry with the kill future."
Speculating on the future of Round 7, we asked Asap if tactics like this are going to be seen more often during this round? "I think Bootleggers has a new generation of players, its not like it used to be 5 years ago, you cant trust anyone any more... what happened to respect." How viable is this scheme to succeed during the round? Is this a tactic you think you'd find yourself falling for? When asked if he would, Asap gave this reply "Never, and it hurts to hear me called a "noob" in the fourms because I have been around for so long an played for many years but I don't expect players to understand, and I'm not sitting around crying that its not my fault for getting scammed because it is, like I said, I trusted the wrong person...and that person will fall if its the last thing I do." Will we see Outlawz Order back on the Stats? "Later maybe in the year."
Some strong words and even a threat. Now we see what HouseOfLies had to say.
First of all, we wanted to know why HouseOfLies targeted this crew specifically? Was there some bad blood in the history? "It was for sale." So it appears HouseOfLies is an opportunist. Is it something HouseOfLies would do it again having succeeded the first time? "No because he made such a big deal of it." Apparently not. Been as Asap made such a big deal of it, we inquired if there was anything HouseOfLies had to say to Asap? "Suck my d***." Charming.
Again, asking about the future of the round, We asked if HouseOfLies thought this tactic is to be seen more often during this round? "Not if people dont smoke dope. Would HouseOfLies fall for his own ploy? "Nope." As there was no history, would HouseOfLies mind seeing Outlawz Order back on the Stats? "Dont care" came the very short reply.
The crew has since been sold on, when the kill feature is re-enabled, will this new crew be safe from a revenge attack from Outlawz Order for buying what they might view as their spot gone dirty? Can we expect to see them return? Will Asap be more careful with his friends in future? Will we see HouseOfLies or others repeat this method of a takeover?
Hopefully these events have opened the eyes of all those wishing to sell crew spots in future inspiring them to be more careful when they sell. They might have also alerted others to try similar techniques. Who knows, only time will tell. It's just another exciting event that may unfold within Round 7 of our favourite game.
