Hello and welcome to a few harmless questions, as usual, there was a topic in the Game Forum asking your opinions about an aspect of Bootleggers. This week's subject was the Stock Market.
A thank you to all of you that answered this. Two thirds of you do use the national Stock Market. With regards to the state local stocks, one third use the stock market in one state specific and the second third own stocks in more than one state and the final third not using the state markets.
Sadly, as with real life, 91% of you do not use the stock market as your main source of game income.
With regards to your profits, most of you gamble or re-invest your profits. Point purchases are also funded by stock profits in a few cases, though one of you tries to make it rain.. it's succeeded, here at least.
As for strategies, keen to note I do not take responsibility for your losses but if you make a tidy profit I want a cut, the main suggestion is check on your stocks every half an hour or so, use the graphs to spot trends, but also be prepared there is a bit of luck involved.
I'm going to close, as usual, with a few of your comments and thoughts on the stock market.
"There is a lot of risk associated with fairly small rewards, unfortunately. It also takes a lot of time and patience to sit there watching waiting for a big profit, and a fair amount of nerve not to sell!"
"The stock market is one of the best ways to make boo coo bucks on Bootleggers. Many people just see it as a gamble not worth taking but, when you know how to use it, you can make 400k-1mil a day. To me that's a gamble worth taking."
"The stock market is too wild to use reliably. It's a higher risk/reward than the federal bank, but I tend to lose money with the stock market more often than I earn money."
"Good feature, makes you rich fast, and broke faster."
