Welcome to this weeks A Few Harmless Questions. This time I was asking your opinions on your profile, considered a statement by some players as the picture business is booming. As always, thank you to all those that have voted.
Over half of you that voted do have your country on show and one person has the country on show from when they went on holiday abroad.
Nobody has admitted to having a picture of themselves on their profile but 71% of you have pictures made specifically for bootleggers on your profile. This suggests the picture making business is important to most people. Most people got theirs made for free, but prices can vary between $50,000 to $250,000. Or if paying by points, 30 points to 1,000 points have been paid. The average quickly worked out was about 250 points.
About 10% of players have a YouTube video on their profile, is this replacing embedded music as only 2 people admitted to having music on their profile. As for the option to listen to music on profiles, 14% of you do, the remaining 86% don't have this option enabled.
With the YouTube video BB code, the video doesn't automatically start and you can pause it if you wish and it's a video, not just a song, perhaps this is the way forward? Though this is just speculation.
As always I leave you with a few of your comments and a final thank you to all those that vote in these topics. Good gaming!
"Good profile makes you look active and serious. Also its a style."
"I don't know if good profiles make a statement but bad ones certainly do. Screenshots from Goodfellas or pictures of rappers, and images clearly lifted from the Internet suggest the fellow in question may be a noob."
"I think a tidy but professional profile makes a statement. Obnoxious photos and/or overdoing it is not. Simple and to the point gets the most respect. "
"I like to be nosey at other peoples profiles and what pictures they have lol."
"I love my profile page. it's like my own personal space where I can show off my animations. I think I have the only widescreen animation on bootleggers (I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure)"
