Hello and welcome to the fifth edition of BSF's 2000 Characters. As mentioned by Poison in issue 19, it was decided that my column would be switched from every other week to once a month. I felt this would better allow my column to stay consistent with my original intentions for it. Anyways, on with the show. A variety of reasons has led production being a bit slower than I had hoped. But things are still on track as planned and some of the behind the scenes doings are getting started after a few weeks of preparation.
As I have previously mentioned, two upcoming features will be the new Blackjack and an achievement-type feature. Blackjack is getting to its final stages and should be ready to begin its closed-testing phase soon. The achievement-like feature is a bit behind that, but not by far. I'm hoping to have both of these released by next issue. So, sometime in the next month you should be seeing both of these (jokes about my deadlines deserved ).
Those who enjoy the game Blackjack should really find the upcoming version a lot of fun. Just like with Roulette, it introduces many of the previously missing aspects of the game. Not to mention it looks and plays entirely different than it does currently. And for the achievement-like feature, I really wanted to make sure it fits nicely into the game and so far it is doing just that. In the meantime, you'll be seeing some additional updates/features/bug fixes such as the friend transfer update.
The final details regarding the crew update will be getting worked out so that production on that can start immediately after the aforementioned features are released. It'll be really nice to see the crew system revamped after being in its current form for as long as it has. So that will be something to look forward to next. And as always, there's other miscellaneous features in the works in the background.
