In the early afternoon on Tuesday the sound of gunshots once again reverberated around Bootleggers. Naturally, the Buzz went to investigate. Even though we arrived fairly quickly, all we managed to see was a few indistinct figures jumping into the back of a Beauford. We gave chase and they led us back to the Headquarters of Event Horizon.
Cautiously we entered and asked to speak to the boss. MissBettyB granted us an interview and obviously, our first question was "Do Event Horizon take responsibility for the shooting of The Finishing Touch?"
"Yes, EH wiped TFT." replied Betty. She went on to explain that one of their members had been scammed by a player in The Finishing Touch.
"They shouldn't allow scammers to be in their crew. Would have shot anyone not in a crew who scammed a member of EH, just because they were in a crew it shouldn't be any different. The Finishing Touch was given a chance to deal with this". Event Horizon therefore, accept responsibility for this shooting. We asked Betty whether she expected any retaliation:
"It is possible" she replied, "we're ready for that though". The Buzz would like to thank BettyB for her time and her answers! We also wish The Finishing Touch all the best luck with building up again.
Outside however, we noticed the same Beauford we followed, this time, with a familiar face in the drivers seat. We approached Adam and asked him a few questions.
"Were you involved in the shootings?"
"Yes, there were 5 of us in total" he replied.
"That must have been a fair amount of bullets to wipe that crew, would you care to comment?"
"Over 500k."
"Are you concerned about possible retaliation?"
"Not really. There could be a very slight chance they might retaliate, but we're prepared for it".
We thanked Adam and left him as we set off to find any ex-TFT members.
One of our reports tracked down JLove5 aka JLove.
"Do you know who shot you and why?" We asked.
"Well, Event Horizon shot us because someone of our crew scammed one of EH members yesterday. I was trying to solve this but no response they just shoot the whole crew" JLove told us.
We asked why they had not kicked the scammer from their crew and JLove replied "I know what he did was bad, but i know him from 04 and he just started playing again. I also gave the member of EH that was scammed the money back + a little interest"
We pushed a little further and asked "A player surely represents your crew as a whole, were you happy having a scammer represent you?"
"Like I said, what he did was bad but because I know him for a long time and he just started playing again I wanted to give him another chance".
We asked one final question before we left him.
"Are you going to take revenge on Event Horizon?"
"They can expect something" he replied and with that, he departed.
It is unclear what the future holds but if retaliation is indeed planned then it would be worth Event Horizon watching their backs for a while. Were Event Horizon too hasty? Did The Finishing Touch not take the right course of action? We'll leave this up to you to decide!
