A Phoenix reduced to ashes, will it rise again? xAceAdam

Last week, The Buzz reported on The Phoenix Rebellion going on the biggest shooting spree this round has seen thus far, wiping four crews; The Senate, Gangsters Sanctuary, Event Horizon and La Onda. These shootings took place between 02:30am BL Time on Saturday right up until Sunday night. Over 3.5 million bullets were fired, 20,000 points spent as well as over $50,000,000 in cash. Roughly 115 accounts died in total in this massacre. The Phoenix Rebellion truly rose and caused some havoc this weekend and rightly striking fears into a lot of other players who thought they may have the power to shoot any person and crew they like and fully run Bootleggers to however they please. The only way to stop this potential plan from unfolding was for someone to take them out, and fast. But who would be brave enough to do this and who would possible have the resources to take out such a strong crew?

Fear not, for they have now been burnt to ashes! (see what I did there?) Totally wiped from the statistics with every member being brought back to scum level, just like all their victims. But who shot all 39 accounts which included five Legendary Dons, two Respectable Dons and 19 dons? Turns out there were two shooters; Craig_avfc89 and Skeggi. Both are members of The Chain Gang, mostly known for being a quiet friendly crew which pride themselves on their jail busting capabilities, so how did they manage to take out arguably the strongest crew left on the statistics at that point in time? Well I interviewed FlameSReliT, the boss of The Chain Gang and asked him as to why he decided his crew should take action. He replied with:
When I saw TPR kill 4 crews that I am extremely friendly with and hold 4 BF's I knew it was time for action.This game can be ruined by one party having too much power, we have seen that in the past, it destroys the game and leads to players leaving the game all together. I also don't like UG crews being able to influence the game too much and TPR did have an alliance or at least an understanding with one of the more organised UG crews.

I decided to call a meeting of the stat crews that I PERSONALLY trust without question, some may have shared my values but I only asked for the ones that I have had decent relationships with.
I invited the bosses and underbosses only of the following crews;

Event Horizon
Gangsters Sanctuary
The Senate
Padrinos Palace
To listen to my ideas and possible solutions.

The meeting took place and all seemed keen on my ideas, unfortunately the boss of PP was not online and missed the meeting. A plan was made during the meeting, resources collated and a shooter supplied. Search costs came to around $20million, and around 28,000 points were used.

Every member of TPR was shot, along with a single player that held Penny and Illi BF. 6 BF's were picked up and held within the TCG crew spot, the alliances base of operations after the attack by TPR. I recognise the irony of the outcome when compared to the intended reasoning. 6BF's were in the same crew spot, this however is only temporary until the visitors or EH, GS and TS leave, however the leaders of each of the crews have agreed to provide an element of security even after the event which bought us together.

My main goal was to ensure that power was spread more equally through the game, and that for now at least has been slightly more distributed.Of course we expect repercussion from our attack, The Phoenix Rebellion is made up of some fantastic players. It did take a lot for our originally small busting crew to shoot and get so involved in the politics of the game. We saw our friends being shot, and other large stat crews, and would have preferred to do something in case we were next in line.

This shows how much teamwork and effort it took to take out The Phoenix Rebellion, effectively taking five crews to come together and each add resources to prevent what FlameSReliT expressed as a ruining of Bootleggers. Craig_avfc89 shot 36 accounts and Skeggi took out the remaining three.
After the wipe, I went in hunt for The Phoenix Rebellion members and came across Trigaman aka TrigaNometry, who is a high ranking official for the crew. I asked him what he thought of the shootings and he stated:
We obviously were expecting retaliation in response to our actions and quite honestly came as no surprise. The crews we targeted were established, well organized and arguably powerful. However this is something we knew going in. Their response was exactly what I would have expected it to be.

So, it has certainly been an eventful week for Bootleggers, just as I was thinking it was getting a bit too quiet. Certainly not now with at least 6 crews getting involved in the action. Six very strong crews that would come as no surprise to anyone if they return to the statistics page. Only the future knows if any grudges are held and whether there’ll be any retaliation on The Chain Gang for this shooting.
