In this weekly favourite of The Buzz, we continued the in depth approach with Smoothradio to be featured in Behind the Name.
What is your real first name, how old are you and where are you from? My name is James, 22, from Liverpool, UK.
What genres of music do you tend to listen to, would we be right to guess easy listening? For me, nothing beats the slender tones of Lionel Richie.
Who is your favourite artist/band? Smooth Radio says The Jackson 5, but in the interest of this article… I really like The Strokes.
Are you a sports fan? If so, do you follow any teams? I'm a football fan, and I support Liverpool F.C.
What did you make of Carling Cup final game Sunday previous? It was great to see us winning in a cup final again, never thought a game against Cardiff City could shatter my nerves so bad though!
What's to your immediate left? T.V with FIFA 12 menu screen loaded.
Fifa 12? What console do you play on? What team currently are you and who is your next match against? Play on PS3, Currently playing head to head (online) seasons with Barcelona, so it could be anyone.. recently made it to division 1 so it’s likely I’ll get beat, there are some crazy good players out there!
What is your favourite food? Would have to be Mexican fajitas.
What did you have for dinner? Spaghetti meat balls.
Did you read last week's Buzz? Only when I realised I might be featuring in this weeks!
Where are you when you're logged on most often? Usually in my home living room, this is where the PS3 lives so it’s the natural habitat for some gaming multi-tasking.
When did you originally join Bootleggers and how did you come across the site in the first place? I joined many many years ago. I’d not long started high school and I jumped on the bandwagon when a few of my mates joined.
What was your first username you can remember? LeeMe
What was your most famous Round 6 username? Really, its Smoothradio, and that not famous at all really! I was bigger in the very early games.
What is the reason behind your username? I like random user names (big fan of ‘powerbear’ by the way), The UK station Smooth Radio was playing in the background when I signed up so I thought this could be a funny name. In hindsight this was undoubtedly the right decision, I swear I’ve been busted a 1000 times just because the name catches people’s eye.
What is your favourite feature? Probably Organised Crimes, I’m doing a masters in psychology at the moment and negotiation strategy is a big part of my research. So I find 4 to 8 people all trying to co-operate, as well as trying to get the best deal for themselves, really interesting.
Are there any features you miss? I used to like getting busted then being allowed a second shot at stealing a car, those were the days.
If there was a message you could say to BSF directly what would it be? “Listen to Smooth Radio”, so that I could receive a personal thank you (plus one million BL points) for enlightening him.
Are there any shoutouts you'd like to make, to players past and present, and anything else you'd like to add? Shout out to 45VoltHedgehog, this is the username I’ve shotgunned for my next account.
That's an impressive name choice shotgunned, do you have any other name ideas floating about? I’ve got my eye on IngloriousMilkMan but nothing else really. Who knows, maybe I’ll be inadvertently promoting some other radio station in another life.
Do you follow Bootleggers on any social networking sites? If so, would you mind sharing your profiles that may be printed in the next Buzz issue? No can do, I wish to keep my smoothradio persona separate to my real life thanks. In reality, my enthusiasm for smooth radio is considerably less!
