We here at the buzz would like to extend our congratulations towards Riserva for being a moderator for this community for three years! This is no small feat, as there are many responsibilities and tasks a member of the Elite Guard has to comply with. We aren’t here to discuss that though, instead let’s see how Riserva feels about his milestone.
Now, Riserva wasn’t always the Head Honcho Moderator with the awesome green jacket. He used to have a yellow coat from his days as a help desk operator, but he tells us that he lost that long ago. And even before that, Riserva was just an average player, much like the rest of us. When asked about whether he ever misses be a regular player or not, Riserva replied, “I do! It was fun being a player, but it’s also fun being a Mod.”
The decision to initially promote Riserva was made by both Sabin and 5litre, two former Administrators. When asked about his reactions to the promotion, Riserva said, “ It felt amazing, I honestly felt like I was given the chance to give back to the community.” For the better part of the last three years, he has definitively been serving the community as a Moderator.
We have all seen members of the Elite Guard come and go; and some departures were more glorious than others. When asked why he’s been a part of the staff for a long period of time, Riserva responded saying, “What has made me stay is basically the community and I just like helping out. I am happy where I am, doing what I do.” Three years is no small feat to continually act as a member of staff and even though we might think that it’s no big deal and that anyone could do that. Take a look at how long former Elite Guard members have actually stayed and continued to be active. Let’s not forget also, that Riserva has no plans to step down at this time.
In closing, Riserva has been a great asset to the Bootleggers community for the past three years. Despite how you might feel about him personally or whether he banned you, you cannot deny that the man has dedicated himself to helping the community overall.
