Xian Guards Insided! Voluns2

Yesterday morning tragedy struck one of the games crews. Xian Guards, who have existed peacefully for several weeks now, were insided. It all started with two kills, Renderken and DogSolider. DogSolider was the crew leader of Xian Guards. The two members were killed by Idiot, a Legendary Godfather. The crew then fell into the hands of TR_Lord who was threatened by Idiot to hand over the crew to him or everyone in the crew would die. However, without consulting anyone within his crew, he peacefully gave control of the crew to Idiot who proceeded to soft kick all of the members and then list it for sale.

We tracked down Idiot who only had one thing to say about his actions: “this action was needed to provide costs to wipe Event Horizon. This action can be blamed upon their crew.” He had no further comment about his actions. We think it is safe to say that Event Horizon may need to be careful in the future, but what crew doesn't?

As well as the insiding of Xian Guards, MzBetty, YellowMellow and Dangaerius were also killed at the same time. We then approached a couple of the members of Xian Guards to find out their opinion on the events.

First we tracked down DogSolider and asked him for his thoughts on what had transpired. “To be honest I have been in TR_Lords situation when I first started playing again the crew I was in got wiped and I was told to hand over the crew or we all die, my choice at that point was to stand my ground and I didn’t hand over out of loyalty however if lord had done that there is a chance all my members/friends could have died so hard to call my members are everything I'll die for them. When it happened to me I stalled the shooter until we were able to shoot him.”

He went on to tell us “it (was) too soon to have thoughts of revenge as the crew needs to organize itself and gather all of the facts.” A few weeks ago he had received word “of rumours of the crew being wiped but nothing about being insided.” So they were prepared for something, but not the worst.

During the attack a forum post was started which had some interesting comments added by Kelvin and Eric1994. Kelvin made his opinion quite clear:
“Not going to lie, this was poorly dealt with without consultation of the boss or council. A decision taken by a single member about the fate of a crew. In all likelihood the shooter of Renderken and DS did not have all members on search, or if he did, on very long searches, the kills were not quick and he doesn't seem like a particularly experienced shooter. He could have been searched and eliminated before the crew was wiped.

Either way, it was going to happen eventually, as Blittz has said, the recruitment system and ineffectual management led to the downfall of Xian Guards. I'm surprised our crew lasted that long to be honest.”

We tracked Kelvin down and asked him a few more questions. His opinion was quite strong when he answered what he would do if he was in TR_Lord's position. He said: “Firstly, I do not have friends who would shoot at my crew in order to sell the crew spot. That is just absurd. How is this player a friend if TR_Lord had to negotiate with him on the conditions of the demise of the crew TR_Lord was loyal to. Secondly, TR_Lord expressed to me feelings that he didn't want to shot. This was before he started kicking members. Unfortunately he assumed that everybody else would feel the same. He made an executive decision (that he didn't have the authority to make) to start kicking crew members to avoid their deaths on the basis that he would rather be alive and see the crew fall, than fall with it. In this he assumed that the other members felt the same way. Not only was this a cowardly decision, but he also did not have the authority to make this decision. Unfortunately those who did have the authority to make the decision were not online at the time, and so he took matters into his own hands. Had it have been me in his position, I would have started searches on the shooter and awaited instruction from the council on the next course of action.”

He went on to tell us “Well, my immediate plans are to help get the crew back on the stats. I think after the shake up the crew could develop in a new direction, with new opportunities and alliances opening! I was previously planning a little break from Xian Guards, maybe making a tour of the crews, but let's just see how it all works out... I think there could be a few surprises just around the corner...” So Xian Guards defiantly has things happening in the future!

Continuing to explore the situation we found details that were also posted about the conversation between TR_Lord and Idiot.

“Hey Lord
All XG members have been searched by PI's, I will shoot until a online member gives me the crew

Better give it to me if you get or die.

RIP”

TR_Lord responded to this by agreeing. He stated that Idiot is “my friend so he give me deal to no kill all coz hes my friend so he give me screen shot also he just deal with me if I be nice the crew will not killed and just soft kick if you don't sorry my friend he just was needed to wipe all members” Was this an act of cowardice? Or bravery? TR_Lord knew that if everyone was killed and he was offered this chance to save the high ranked accounts then he had to take it. Unfortunately not everyone agreed with his logic.

Eric1994 said “I sort of understand what sudden position TR_Lord was in, but as kelvin said, there was virtually no conversation and the consultation was not there.”

So all of these actions were in order to kill Event Horizon and it seems like Xian Guards were just in the way of an even bigger event. We may have to keep on watching the statistics to see the final results of the insiding of Xian Guards. But we at the Buzz want to hear your thoughts on this. Do you think that TR_Lords actions were justified? Would you have acted in a similar way? And will the actions of the Crew be over shaded by the even more recent killings which took place? What is your opinion on this matter?
