Hello z2k! Could you introduce yourself to the Bootleggers Community?
My name is z2k and I am a 24 year old fella from London. I graduated in Marketing a few years back but am currently working for a solicitors firm. I played Bootleggers from 2004 till a few years back when I quit and then I returned roughly around 3 months ago. I've done everything there is to do in Bootleggers except ever get past Don.
I want to hear a first name!
Well to be honest EVERYONE just calls me Zed or Z. Both here and in real life.
Alright, you work at a solicitors firm. What kind of work are you doing there?!
I predominately do research for them. Whether it be newspaper searches from archives, electoral register searches or through the purchase of photographs. I'm a small cog in a giant machine.
Researches… What was your last research?!
The last case I was working on was a property dispute. The local residents were petitioning against the development of a specific piece of land as they were claiming it was a 'town green'. I had to do electoral register searches to double check witnesses statements to identify any anomalies. Quite boring work really!
Boring?! So, what was the most exciting case ever?!
It's all boring! The firm I work for are specialists in commercial and property development.
Why are you working there if it's all boring?!
It’s good experience and pays the bills. I've actually practically left. I just have to go in a few times next week to finish up loose ends. I really want to have a career in Marketing which is and always has been my passion. So this should hopefully free me up to pursue this.
Hard to find a job these days?
Yeah it is at this current moment. Marketing is a luxury not an essential. So when budgets are tightened, it is one of the first things to be cut.
Where do you want to work? Give us a name of a juicy company!
I would love to work for a HUGE company like Google!
Google?! Why Google?
They're expanding at an exponential rate. They are hugely innovative and apparently their work conditions are meant to be brilliant. Casual clothing, unlimited sweets and smoothie bar. You can even bring your pets to work!
Pets? Cool! Do you have any pets?
I used to have a large fish tank with loads of fishes but nope don't have any pets at the moment.
How can you even bring a fish tank to work? Anyway, Bootleggers now! What’s your opinion of Bootleggers at this moment?
That's a tough question. The game itself is undoubtedly in the best shape I've seen it. It is exploit free and there are not many dupes left, which is hugely impressive compared to the past. However, it seems that many players have left the game so the actual community has unfortunately shrunk. And the age old case of BSF being lazy remains the same.
If you were BSF20000, what would you do?
Hire a professional coder to assist me in improving this game.
And if you had to add a new kind of feature. What would it be?
Hmmm I would implement some extra crew features to make it an integral and important part of the game.
Details!
I don't know really. Would defo want to see a built in application form to make it much easier for the recruiters. Would also like to see some sort of organised crime you can do from inside the crew. I would bring back the declaration of war feature. Then little things like it being harder to kill a crew member if there are loads of crew members in the same state. Similarly, if there are loads of members in the same state then they would be more likely to get an accurate witness statement. I may have stolen an idea or two from the game forum because I’m sure there was a topic similar to this a few weeks ago.
Now about your BL-career. You said you did everything, except the ranking part. What is your biggest achievement?
That would be being leading NBK and being the founder and boss of my own crew, The Society.
Why is that your biggest achievement?
NBK is a legendary crew. It was one of the first crews about and had a fearsome reputation. It was an honour to lead them. Similarly, it was great to create a crew which lasted over a reset and made me some great friends/enemies.
Are you planning anything this round?
Not to sound clichéd but I’m going to be a loyal and dedicated EH member!

Well I was a writer for the Buzz on multiple occasions and even managed to worm myself to Editor for a short period of time. The Buzz has always been the only real source of news in the Bootleggers world.
The Buzz has changed in the last years. What is the biggest difference in your opinion?
I can't really comment on that because I was AWOL from BL for a few years. But from this rounds issues, it is clear to see that it is a lot more organised and professional then it used to be.

It's quite simple. I made my first email address in the year 2000. As I said earlier everyone calls me z so it was natural for me to name my email add z2k. So when I joined BL I just bought that name with me!
