On Wednesday the 19th, disaster struck for a well-known crew. The Senate felt the dreaded crew wipe, just two days after being shot at! They have had no luck recently! Everyone will probably know many of the details, accusations of scams, friends betrayed, Bullet Factories left untouched and alliances broken, but just in case you missed anything we have it all covered!
To get to the bottom of everything we first turn to the horses mouth, Alexander aka Zuis! He was the shooter and had lots to say about the subject. He told us that the direct reason for choosing now to shoot was “because I'm bored and I'm L. Don from over four months and I thought I should shoot for fun before I lose my account.” A wise move? Maybe not. But he definitely has a point! But if that was all the reason was then why didn't his crew pick up the two lovely bullet factories which The Senate were holding? The reason was quite simple, “Well The BF's are property of GS, and Axteze had nothing to do with them, simple way we have no interest in the Bullet Factories.”
Of course he couldn't share with us the resources he used for the shootings (no one ever does?!), but he could share the comments his crew boss, iAldo posted on the game forum about the exact reasons “you wiped us once, we never got you back, The Senate funded The Chain Gang to wipe us, we wiped The Chain Gang and not The Senate. We have no interest in the Bullet Factories.” Alexander had one final statement to make and that was “if TS tried to do anything against Axteze, I'm always here for them”!
Next we managed to track down SevenVirtues, one of the crew bosses of The Senate, to find out his view on what had transpired. “I was surprised to be honest, we had a peace treaty with Axteze. Axteze were going to get shot, but not by us. I was aware of it, the people shooting wanted to get me involved, however as I had previously given my word that we would not shoot them I wasn't going to break that.”
A peace treaty between the two crews? We were definitely interested now! We next spoke to iAldo about the peace treaty. He had an incredibly strong viewpoint on the matter “There wasn't any "Peace Treaty" made, it's not world war two. They told us they weren't going to retaliate for the Bullet Factory, and we said we wouldn't shoot them as long as they honoured their word. But when I get extremely strong Intel, which I 100% believe, that they were planning on shooting us, there was no chance we were going to sit there and let them shoot first.” So on the one hand we have a crew reviving Intel that they would be attacked and on the other hand we have a crew who received Intel that a shooting would happening. Someone seems to be pushing the two crews into fighting, but we have no idea who was behind the false Intel planted!
Turning back to SevenVirtues our next topic was the possibility of revenge. His position was made perfectly clear “Do I want revenge? Not really. I'm quite satisfied with the fact that those who they think are allies are the ones plotting against them. However saying that, they did start all this. I'm sure they've told you about us wiping them, what they probably forgot to mention was the reason we wiped them was because they shot for a BF we were holding. So yes, maybe one day I will return the favour. Wait and see.”
SevenVirtues only had a few closing statements to share with us “I'll never be on my own, this game is only fun because of the great people I play with. When you have been playing for as long as most of the big crews, you learn very early on not to keep your resources in the crew spot. The crew spot/forum is just to place to have fun and show everyone you are still around. The real magic happens behind the scenes.” A very good statement that I'm sure many of you will agree with.
However, this wasn't the end of the story. iAldo went on to explain the details of the scam accusation he posted about on the game forum, “that was just something personal, I liked Abu before that. Back in the Sacred Empire days, MWO held three slots at one time. The basic gist of it was, if you bust a slot machine with "x" amount of money as your bet, you would receive 1k points, and it was the same for each slot. A member of Boston Mob (My crew at the time) Busted two of the slots with screen shot evidence of his bet, when he asked MWO for the points, he got an abrupt answer so he went to Abu, who was boss of the crew at the time, Abu said something along the lines of "What are you going to do about it?" Since then, I've found Abu to be a cocky, boring stupid idiot who has accomplished next to nothing on the game, yet his arrogance exceeds him.”
iAldo also explained that this scam had nothing to do with the shootings it just helped to influence his decision of the person. However the scam did confuse a lot of people when it was posted in the Game Forum and never explained. We turned to RefuIV to see if he had an answer to this accusation and he told us “If I'm correct it was about MWO and his slots. He was holding three slots and said win one and get the others for free. They thought he would give them away, but he meant they could 'win the others for practically free'. I think that situation is a big misunderstanding, where The Senate has nothing to do with.”
So the scam was an unimportant, long forgotten piece of history. iAldo was unable to share were his Intel came from but he did go on to say “We don't have a problem with any one really, we would never randomly shoot any one. So I guess for the time being we will concentrate on what's important, Ranking and retaining a crew spot!” But “if they want to make something of it then they are welcome too. If not then so be it, they were planning to shoot us regardless, so I can't see them dropping it.”
Once again we are drawn back to this Intel We have to wonder where it really came from... However RefuIV had a few more answers to share with us. Unfortunately he couldn't tell us any more about the Intel, but he did voice his opinions on the entire issue. He was killed on Monday night, alongside GS, but was shot again on Wednesday. He really hasn't had a good week! He did share his opinion on the Axteze attack however, saying “They shot us at first for the Colorado BF, after that we decided to make a peace treaty with them, and said they could keep the BF. The only reason we took the BF was to get some action back in the game. And they broke our truce yesterday by shooting us.”
He told us that he was “disappointed by the rumours that The Senate was involved with a scam” and that “the arrangements were entirely different than suggested” in the Game Forum. He also shared with us why he was killed twice in one week “I was killed during the first encounter of Most Wanted. They selected a few kills of The Senate, which is was one of. And last night I was holding a BF, apparently Axteze did not want to see me with a BF.”
He could only share a few details about why Most Wanted had shot him “According to the shooters profile, he did not like me. Makes me wonder what I've done to be disliked. I must say that I've heard the name Evert in my past before. I possibly had an encounter back in the day when I was apart of The Deadly Alliance.” So once again, even more ancient history!
So that seems like the end of the story, for now! At least, the end of all the information we have been able to dig up so far. But if anyone out there has any more information about this 'Intel' the two crews received which was different, then please do come forward as we would love to find out more!
