ShyGuy is our beloved Buzz Editor, along with FlameS. He does a great job week in week out and has interviewed pretty much all of us recently! So I thought it was about time his voice was heard!
So ShyGuy! After weeks of running interviews its finally your turn to be put on the stand!!! First of all, tell us a little bit about yourself!
My first name is Max, I'm twenty years old and I'm from The Netherlands. At the moment I'm in my last year of the study; Accountancy. I started playing Bootleggers in 2005. I had a little break in 2007, but I'm still here!
Accountancy? Do you have a firm in mind for when you finish? Or after all that study are you sick of numbers?
One year ago I had to work twenty weeks at a firm for workexperience. At that time I applied at the firm 'Deloitte'. I had a great time there and they were very positive about me. They told me that I had to contact them when I finished my study. At this moment I still have contact with my old colleagues and I'm being invited by a lot parties of the firm. Just great!
That sounds great! So you've almost finished your degree, you have a job lined up, your life sounds pretty perfect! But, do you enjoy the work?
I only need a wife! And some kiddo's?! I'll be honest on this one! In the beginning of my 'working period' I didn't like the job. I had to wake up at 6 AM and normally I came home at 8 PM. Long days, and I was pretty exhausted. Nevertheless, I love the work and especially my colleagues. They learned me a lot and they accepted in the team!
A wife and some kiddos?? Anyone in mind? Or are you still waiting to meet that special someone?
At this moment I have nobody in mind. I'm enjoying the life of a true single!
Onto Bootleggers! So with an Accountancy background and a very busy life off of this site, why would you choose to be the Buzz Editor? And how on earth do you find the time???
Haha! I think The Bootleggers Buzz is an awesome feature on this game and I'm really proud to be the Editor of it, together with FlameS. When Poison resigned as Editor and Help Desk operator I was contacted by Mika. He offered me the position and I accepted immediately. Why?! Because I wanted to improve the quality of The Buzz with one hell of a good team. And to be honest, I think we're doing damn well!
What is your opinion on the current state of Bootleggers?
I think this round is going pretty well. The Moderators are doing a very good this round. They are making sure everyone follows the rules. A lot players are talking about a few years ago. Of course, Bootleggers had way more players at that time, but so what?! A few years there were a lot dupes and a lot inflation. If you weren't cheating, you were doomed. Now about BSF2000. He promised us updates a while ago and they still aren't here. That's not good, but I don't know what's going on behind the scenes, so I can't give a good judgment about that one.
If you could code, would there be one specific change you would make to the site? Either an addition or removal?
I would definitely change the crew feature. I don't know how tough, but at this moment it's pointless to join a crew. Another feature I would add is Establishments. I really loved that feature!
Favourite colour?
Green.
Cats or dogs?
Dogs.
Biggest fear?
Wasps and bees!
Fast food of choice?
I'm addicted to McFlurries!

Favourite Buzz writer?
Haha! Persons are no products. You can have a favourite shampoo, but I'm picking one favourite writer. Every writer has his/her own skills. At this moment we have a great team with all excellent writers!
Best Mod?
The best Moderator would be the Moderator who makes sure the games runs smoothly. At this moment they are all doing that!
Favourite crew?
My favourite crew is The Deadly Alliance, however if I have to pick one now, I would choose Event Horizon. It's one of the few 'old school crews'.
Please explain why your username is ShyGuy!
Well, a lot people think I'm shy. That's completely wrong, I'm more hyper active. In 2006 I was playing a lot Nintendo games. My favourite character, in that time, was ShyGuy. A little guy in red with a mask on!
