Hello and welcome to the 8th edition of BSF's 2000 Characters. I hope you all have had a fun last few weeks since last issue, both in real-life and on the game. Since last issue we celebrated Bootlegger's 9th anniversary and I thank everyone who gave their well wishes. I am also pleased to tell you that development is getting back on track and I'm excited to keep the metaphorical train pushing full steam ahead. You may have been noticing some relatively small updates over the last couple weeks and however minute you think some of them may be, they are ultimately indicative of development getting back on its feet. Something I'm definitely excited about.
Let's get right to it: State and Nation Dons. The invitations for these ranks will resume this coming Monday the 22nd at noon BL time. That's not to say that anyone will qualify at that time for an invite or will accept it right away, but that's at least when the invites will start and the feature itself return. I do apologize for the length of time this feature was down, there is definitely no excuse for that; but all we can do now is move forward with it. Thanks for your patience with it. The FAQ will follow suit shortly after.
This leaves the two upcoming features, Blackjack and achievements. Until things get fully caught up and fully rolling again I can't offer any deadlines for those. But those are still the next two upcoming features and will be making their respective debuts in the near future.
I do want to lightly touch on the possibility of an additional programmer for Bootleggers being very, very likely. We've been discussing it in the Elite Guard and working out several details and it is becoming a very real possibility very soon. Until that is completely finalized I won't announce who it is or any further details, but we're really hoping another programmer will help out around here tremendously and are excited for the venture. More details about this will be announced later.
I also wanted to mention that I rea(2000)lize several in-game graphics are still absent and "Coming soon." We unfortunately ran into some difficulties with our graphic designer and are still waiting for that to get resolved. The issue itself is nothing major; just a matter of busy, conflicting schedules. But I am actively trying to get it resolved because I would like our complete set of graphics in the game as soon as possible and I hope to bring those to you as quickly as I can. Just wanted to let you all know the reasoning behind the delay and that the issue is indeed still being worked on.
And that will wrap this issue up. Thanks to those who continue to submit their ideas and suggestions through the Help Desk. Our team has been doing a great job sorting through those and making sure they get where they belong to get seen. Even if you don't see your idea immediately implemented doesn't mean it was simply ignored. I really care to hear what your suggestions for improvement are so keep your thoughts coming in. So until next time, have fun!
