So the Bootcast finally made a return, changing it's name to Bootblast! But how successful has this been? We at the Buzz took some time out to investigate and have a look at the first few shows of the Bootblast!
A forum topic was made, asking for listeners opinions, they were more than happy to oblige! What the Buzz wanted to know, was how many shows had people tuned into, what they thought of the current DJ's and how they thought the show was doing overall?
Corleonesimafiosov2 wrote, “I have listened to 3 or 4 shows and its a good show. guys are hilarious. and they try to get to all of the requests and play there own stuff also. all in all love the show, keep up the good work dj's.” Payneful told us he had listened to, “two full shows with DefiantMonkey” and that he did, “not think the BootBlast will make it back as a feature any time soon. This is not because the dj's are not doing a good job, but due to the fact that BSF has, as he claims, not had a lot of time for coding and implementing features.” He also mentioned, “I think it is a great initiative to bring it back. Looking at the forums, the activity is getting less and less because of the continuous loss of players that the game is experiencing. But by playing requests of players on Bootleggers, the Bootblast is creating a way that stimulates players to become more active again. So I think Bootblast is doing a great job at the moment, considering it's in its early stage still.”
Another avid listener in ShapeShifter told us, “As i've only heard DefiantMonkey so far, i can only give my opinion about him. He's a good DJ and absolutely doing his best for the BootBlast. Also he tends to listen to his listeners which is important for this radio station. In general, its been a decent start. 30 listeners on average is not too bad in the current state of the game.” We also heard from SafiX, who said, “The current DJ's are very active and fun to listen to. I can tell they truly enjoy being a Bootblast DJ and that's what matters, it has to be fun for them too. I think if we keep promoting it more and more people will tune in and I do believe it will be a hot feature in the future.”
So it seems as though the Bootblast so far, has been a really big hit! We at the Buzz love listening in and hope that BSF2000 will implement it as a real feature in the game! Will that happen? Only time can tell. The Buzz wishes the Bootblast all the best for the future, and hope they can keep up the good work!
