BSF2000 has finally announced that kill is to be released! Yay! But just before that immense news, something else quite interesting caught my eye which I decided to report on. This involved the crew High Rollers and a player named Cancer allegedly being scammed out of 2,500 points from KermitTheFrog after he tried to purchase the crew spot! This then lead to a game forum topic attracting a lot of attention from the community, collecting over 250 posts in a matter of hours. Let’s delve into this accusation a bit more….
The Buzz first spoke to the alleged victim, Cancer, who stated that he and KermitTheFrog had been crew mates in High Rollers for a good two weeks until Layno, boss of the crew, decided to put the crew spot up for sale. KermitTheFrog then asked if any crew members were interested in buying the crew spot from Layno. Cancer pondered on this offer and then decided to buy the crew as he planned to start his own crew with a few of his friends. Cancer and KermitTheFrog then discussed the sale of the crew (screenshots at the end of the article show this). KermitTheFrog told Cancer to escrow him 2,500 points as half the payment, which he did. Cancer was then told by KermitTheFrog that he had to go and have tea and he’d be back soon. Cancer waited the whole night but he never came back online. Next morning, Cancer saw KermitTheFrog online and BM’d him asking what was going on. He got no reply so he attempted to send another BM until he got a message saying “This user has blocked messages from you!” Cancer then messaged Layno about this but Layno stated he had no idea what he was going on about and could not help him out. Cancer then created the Game Forum topic which created a stir amongst the community after seeing a well known player, KermitTheFrog, scamming! Five minutes after creating the topic, Cancer was hard kicked from the crew by Layno.
We asked Cancer as to why he did not decide to use a staff member as a middleman for the sale. He stated that as he and KermitTheFrog were crew mates beforehand, he figured he could trust him. Obviously not. Cancer’s next plan is to kill KermitTheFrog for the scam and also to kill Layno for hard kicking him. And what better time to announce this with kill just been released? We all love a bit of action on here. That is Cancer’s version of events. Let’s see what KermitTheFrog has to say.
Unfortunately, when The Buzz spoke to KermitTheFrog, he stated that he was high on cannabis. So he wasn’t able to explain much but he managed to give us the jist of his version if events. KermitTheFrog accepts that he scammed Cancer for 2,500 points. But for a good reason, apparently! KermitTheFrog stated that Cancer previously scammed a few of his friends, who he declined to mention their names, and decided to give Cancer a taste of his own medicine. That is some retribution right there! But the famous saying is “An eye for an eye will only make the world go blind.” Anyway, KermitTheFrog agrees that scamming is wrong and not nice at all but scammers deserve to get scammed. KermitTheFrog also said that, “It may affect my reputation as a good player, but I did what I needed to do and show him. I have had BM’s from players saying they were glad I scammed him and got respect for doing it.” We asked Cancer if he has scammed in the past, which he denied. So there we go. Both sides of the story but who do you believe? Do you think its right to scam a scammer? Have we got our first potential war in the midst?
The Buzz asked Riserva what players can do to prevent being scammed when buying a crew. We asked if players can use HDOs and moderators as a middleman? He stated that, “If an HDO or Mod has the time to be a middleman, than it would be wise to do so. However, HDOs are players too...
I think players need to be smart. I also think that the amount of scamming will soon be lowered due to the re-release of a feature which is missed.” We guess that Riserva is talking about Kill and with BSF2000 announcing on the same day that it is to be released within 24 hours, it couldn’t have came at a better time for Cancer or a worse time for KermitTheFrog and Layno. But it all depends on whether the threat will be carried out and who will be shot first! But with kill being released, we assume scamming will drop as they can easily be dealt with!

UPDATE: Since this article was written, KermitTheFrog had been shot dead by Layno for an unexplained reason. Although it is rumored that KermitTheFrog asked to be shot so he can go underground.
