Since we have had a Bootleggers Buzz we have had many hard working writers working to bring you something to read on a Sunday morning. These writers have often been up until the small hours writing stories which they think that you would enjoy and find something interesting and informative about what is going on in the community. These articles have included stories of when the crews you loved or hated had been shot off the stats, congratulating the people that have become new members of staff and even articles on the updates that BSF has given the game.
However in recent months the core writers for the Buzz have diminished to roughly six of people who can spend an hour a week writing an article about things happening in the Bootleggers community. As mentioned above some of us are up until the small hours in the morning trying to write something for you all to read. But sadly that is due to the laziness of some of the writers (including myself) I for one put one article off until the last moment and didn't finish it till 3am. This however isn't a reason why you should join us, so what are the reasons that you should?
First of all this isn't as hard nor as stressful as you may believe. I for one have had to deal with dyslexia with most of my life, but with the Buzz it's such a helpful and supportive community no-one will laugh at any mistakes but will help you out in any way that they can. As ShyGuy said “It's great for your English. I'm from The Netherlands and I've learnt a lot by now.” So those of you thinking that you couldn't join due to English being a second language that isn't an excuse there are enough people around who can help with grammar and things like that. As for stressful with so many things happening around the site there are plenty to write about but with only a few people writing stories there is plenty that we miss and your articles don't have to be reminiscent of essays you may have had to write during school.
Can you imagine having yet another place where you can talk to other people? However this place only contains other Buzz writers, the mods and admin. Somewhere you can enjoy the company of other people who are trying to create something for the rest of the community, also as Sorin_Markov said “Mika and Sky can threaten to BOS you every day!” Which is really funny until you suggest that they may in fact be bluffing. ShyGuy added another reason why you should join us “Because we have a great team and The Buzz Forum is a fun place to be.”
Finally there aren't many ways on Bootleggers where you are able to give something back to the community and also do something that you enjoy. As iAldo “I think the main reason to become a Buzz Writer is because you enjoy writing. For me personally, I enjoy Bootleggers and enjoy writing so it was a good idea to combine the two.” or the reason Sorin_Markov joined which was “I joined because I wanted to give something back to the community doing something that I enjoy! This was basically the only thing I could do.”. Also as a couple of HDO's have suggested it could lead to another higher position on the staff team. Even though that is yet to have been conclusively proven.
So how can you get involved? Well for starters get writing and submitting articles it doesn't have to be about anything particular just get writing. And for this week and this week only we will be giving away one million dollar to the top 5 articles submitted by members who aren't already Buzz Writers. If you need any advise I am here for you willing writers. And as a final remark from Sorin_Markov added another reason why you should join “Because you have nothing better to do. Be honest, you don't.”.
