New updates are here, but you can read about that in another article. Let's focus on one single update. It might not be the best or even the most useful, but it is definitely one of the most popular updates which we have seen so far. The new Bust Party system!
As you should be aware, before Sky became a programmer he developed his own website which had various tools for Bootleggers. There are profile counters (not that they are needed) number generators for random Keno bets and even a downloadable timer for your crimes, OC's, Gym and Auto Burglary page timers! But the main feature on the website was a better way to host a Bust party. It gave you a page where you would put user's names and rank into it, then update every time someone busted you. All you had to do was copy and paste the image link into your thread and you didn't need to worry about updating your topic every minute or two! It was very useful and everyone loved it.
Now it is even easier. When you start a thread, in the Game Forum, under the topic Bust Party it starts a game for you. In your Crew Forum it has a drop down box for every thread that is created! It's very simple, you simply create the topic and it picks up which state you are in and sets the bust party location as that state! It details the organizer of the party and gives a bank account code for anyone to donate into. Of course the organizer can disable donations if they would prefer to only have a specific amount of cash to.
You are then given the option to start the Bust party. When you do a new section of tools opens up for you to use! You can end the party or even put yourself in jail to save having to attempt a bust and giving someone an unfair advantage. It's very simple! Whenever you are busted the game adds the buster to your topic and lets everyone see who is in the lead and who is the lowest rank.
When you've reached the required time, or number of busts, you then end the party. In case you click this button slightly too soon it does give you a warning message for you to agree with. Once you press end the party then that shows everyone the game is over and the winners have been decided. If you press the end party button and then realize you haven't sent out all the cash yet, fear not! The money is still in the pot and you can still pay out participants as you see fit, or return the left over donations. If there are multiple donations and you do have to return some donated money back to those who gave generously, after you have paid out some prize money, then you will find it impossible. If prize money is given out no donations can be returned.
This gives you the simple job of transferring money to the winners or a specific buster. For example the lowest rank or even every buster (as Aldarion has been doing!) allowing you to distribute prize money as you see fit. We have found out that when people add to the pot the 10% bank fee isn't taken away. Fortunately the pot distribution engine takes care of that so the 10% fee still goes which prevents people giving away money with no sending fee. However if you return all donations there is still a 10% fee charged!
Every step of the bust party is detailed including informing everyone when the host is in jail and if any donations are refunded or paid out. If you have to cancel a bust party you have a simple button to press which returns all donations! So it's very simple to do and can be run in the crew or game forums. Anyone can donate to the party by clicking on the party number and it's very easy to follow everything! If you have run bust parties before, but not yet used this feature, it's one that we at the Buzz recommend! So please, start hosting more bust parties for everyone to take party in!
