Yes, It’s me, Forbidden. Some of you may know who I am, some not, let’s change that! As some of you are aware I am currently the manager of the BootBlast, also known as the BootCast to those old timers but it’s had a revamp and it’s back and bigger than ever(getting there).
So far we have done 18 Shows! That’s amazing considering the state of the game at the moment and the amount of users online at certain times, we peak around 20-30 listeners per show. First and foremost before we get into details I want to say a massive thank you to DefiantMonkey (DJ Digglesworth) he’s done such an amazing job with the show and bringing in the listeners with his crazy antics, stupid accent and the giveaways he does(funded by mods, Thanks guys ), Also a big thank you to iAldo for being a drunk as mofo on the streams, giving us endless entertainment. Hey, he might even stream one of his fights he has with is mirror. Also Mags for supplying us with shows for the people who play on the other end of the timescale, although his broadband is limited and his activity is low, he is still one of us. And last but not least, Farkie. Now Farkie is a quiet one, he may not do shows, be active in our topics but he’s doing a big big favor for us. Farkie is creating an external website purely for the BootBlast but i’ll go into more details another time.
Now, down to business. Like I said before Farkie is currently working on an external website purely for the BootBlast, this will benefit the avid listeners and the new. This new website comes fully equipped with everything you guys need! Suggestions/Request/Shout-out box, What DJ is playing, Competition winners board, Songs played etc. Just like the old feature page but bigger and better! This will benefit us highly, due to the amount of bm’s we get for requests and the odd “BM FORBIDDEN SAYING YOU’RE A FAG AND YOU CAN WIN 100 POINTS” game (Thanks Digglesworth -_- )
Just a reminder, due to the DJ’s having a personal life it is very hard for us to schedule shows in. I myself work shifts, so my activity is spread over 3 weeks, but that can change at any point. It’s a big issue for us so please bare with us on that subject as we try and work around the problem at the moment. Also as a reminder we are always accepting applicants to the BootBlast team as DJ’s or just as an informant: gathering information for us whilst we are online so we can actually talk about BL related issues instead of talking about what we had for dinner. Please do not hesitate to contact me for ways to apply! All you need to become a DJ is a mic, and a 1 minute recording of yourself talking continuously about bootleggers, just like you would on air.
The moderators and I are in continuous conversations about how we can get the game back as an in-game feature, and this is only possible by you! The more listeners we get and the bigger effect we have to the community will cause more demand, therefore.... You know how it works Guys! More listeners = Game Feature. So all we ask is keep an eye on the Game forum, we will be doing reminder topics to let you guys know when the next show is or you can just ask BifreGoonV3, he’s always on my back about a show.
