Cautiously I pressed ‘Bust out!’ one more time. This time the big words weren’t shown anymore. Adrenaline starts flowing through my veins. Now a small sentence is written in the left corner; “Someone has already busted this player out.” Out of frustration I close my laptop, only to re-open it 10 seconds later since I did not want to fall behind..
Finally my hard work causing blood, sweat and tears, paid off. I managed to bust Aldarion out of jail one more time, right before he paused his competition again. This wasn’t just an ordinary bust party; this one would continue until he had reached 10,000 successful busts. Parallel to the competition, also other giveaways have been done by Aldarion. According to our green friend he didn´t do as much giveaways as he would have liked to, seeing as he was busier with organizing than he expected, resulting in only 3 extra games. The first of them was for $250,000, the other two were for rank ups!
The rank up games could be unlocked by reaching a certain number of inmates in the Illinois jail, which Aldarion based on the amount of players online at that very moment. Only twice we´ve managed to get enough players in jail at the same time. As soon as we had reached the amount given by Aldarion, all players who were in jail when we hit the magic number were entered in a dice game. The first one was won by Atheist after Illinois jail hit 50 inmates, the second one by Bfans when it hit 60 inmates. Congratulations to these two players, as well as ShyGuy for being the winner of the competition with a stunning amount of 32 busts. But even more I would like to congratulate Aldarion himself for reaching the milestone of 10,000 busts!
In total 92 players managed to bust Aldarion at least once, with a grand total of 385 busts. Looking at these results, we have asked Aldarion if he was satisfied with the result. His answer: “Definitely! The number of inmates we reached (64 at most), shows how many people were involved and perhaps that's the advantage of spreading the competition out over a couple of days. Because of this many people had the opportunity to participate. For me, it was great fun and I want to thank all participants once again and hope they enjoyed it as much as I did.” Obviously, Aldarion really likes the new bust feature, but still I asked him what he thinks that could be improved, or should be changed. He would like to see the ability to add multiple targets, or perhaps a whole crew to the list of those who will be added to the count when being busted. “It would be awesome to have a massive jail busting game with all of the Elite Guard involved.”
Only one question still remains; who had the honour of being Aldarion’s 10,000 bust? The lucky person was… Gretchen!
I would like to thank Aldarion for hosting this superb bust party. It had been a long time since the jail was so crowded, and I enjoyed every part of it.
