This week, we all sat back and watched another of Sky’s monthly Russian Roulettes. Since February 6 players have managed to gain entry into one of the most sought after games within the Bootleggers community per month. 6 players risk their lives on the spin of a revolver, this month the players who managed to get a spot on the table were; Lurch (Boss), PaynefulRR (Boss), JackBauer (Respectable Boss), Lubricious (Respectable Boss), Bootleggers Buzz’s very own TheWridgeHatesRR (Boss) and last but not least StairwayToHeaven (Boss). To even make it onto the table is an achievement of its own, as Sky points out “every time the game is filled within 15 seconds”.
To be allowed to join in on Sky's little game of death, the user must have been Boss or higher and as your rank increased, the prize increased with it. Starting from 2,000 points for winning as a Boss and going up 500 points per rank. With only Bosses and Respectable Bosses in the game, Sky didn’t need to worry too much about losing his fortune. When asked where Sky got hold of the points for the large prizes, he commented that “To begin with I bought the points from other players using cash I made from the Federal Bank. Lately though I've come into some points from some unscrupulous players, and I've been using their generous albeit involuntary donations for giveaways.”
Once all the players were set and ready, the game began. First to be shot in the head by Sky was StairwayToHeaven, swiftly followed by Lurch after a quick reload. The first and last players to have entered the game were out, but they were quickly followed by Lubricious after the gun click empty at PaynefulRR and JackBauer. PaynefulRR couldn’t escape Sky's bullet for long however, as he was next to be eliminated after the gun clicked its way around the table. So there were two, and the whole Bootleggers community watched as Sky reloaded the revolver and aimed it at JackBauer’s head….CLICK…Sky turned to Buzz’s very own Wridge and pulled the trigger…CLICK…back to JackBauer, for what surely must be the final shot?...CLICK…Sky turned and faced Wridge…put the gun to his forehead…BANG! The revolver went off and Wridge was out! Leaving a very happy JackBauer to walk away with 2,500 Points as a prize for facing death! When questioned on how he was feeling as the gun was being passed between his and JackBauer’s head, Wridge replied, “Let’s just say I had to take a smoke to stop the shaking”.Well…you’re not shaking anymore-old friend!
So it was over, 5 players shot in the head by Sky for his Birthday present to himself! JackBauer walked away with a lovely 2.5k points, worth an amazing $42.5 million with the current point price. To 5 players though, it was just the beginning, as the started their way back up the Bootleggers ranks! Maybe they’ll apply for the next Russian Roulette, which Sky informs us will be on the 24th of December and will be “celebrating how much of a loser we all are for being online on Christmas Eve! I look forward to seeing everyone there.”
The monthly Russian Roulettes are seen by all the be a quick way to either make or break you each month, and some players ask whether it could happen more than once a month! To this however, Sky simply said: “Too often and they lose their novelty.I like to time them to celebrate something”. It makes sense, and it is a nice way to bring the Bootleggers community together, at least once a month, as we all watch 5 people have their brains blown out. This as it happens is the favorite part of the Russian Roulette for Sky, “The way that everyone in the game, regardless of playing style, Crew, nationality, etc., put aside whatever they were doing before and eagerly watches as I shoot people in the face, one by one”, and for his pleasure and our entertainment, 5 lives is a good price to pay.
