The Underground View Lemoncakes

Being underground. What exactly is it and what does it require? We at the Buzz decided to dig deeper into this aspect of the game. Many of us will know it as ''being ug''. Every strong crew has at least a few underground accounts. These accounts are designed to protect the crew should an attack be imminent or even in some cases to provide a pre-emptive strike at an enemy. The account can also be a banker for the crew where interest can be accumulated from joint funds arranged by the leaders.

What does it require for an underground player to be a successful shooter? The account in question will need to hide their identity and thus their affiliation with that crew. This means limiting your exposure to the Bootleggers community by avoiding contact with others that may lead to suspicion and therefore preventing yourself being shot whilst at the same time ranking so that you may be at an appropriate rank to shoot. Of course there is a downside to this as we have all come across. People you may consider to be friends should no longer be allowed to know of your identity to prevent running the risk of being shot. If you have many friends in the Bootleggers community it may become really hard to avoid contact with them. Having to dodge contact with friends because of possible questions such as "why aren't you in your crew" arising aren’t easy. A shooter in any smart crew can't possibly be part of his/her crew incase they are attacked in which his/her bullets would be dropped. After a while it may be difficult to be "anti-social" as any good shooter would have to be in order to be safe.

There are crews as we all know that are successful at being underground such as The Family. In circumstances like theirs, they are all pretty much all underground and in those cases the shooter isn't made to feel "lonely" because he/she has other people to talk to about his/hers stocking. A successful shooter for a crew, will have their account flooded with points to buy bullets and it requires trust from the crew members because the shooter can easily turn around and keep the points for themselves. That is why a shooter is normally a well-trusted individual in the crew. We at the Buzz have the upmost respect for shooter accounts because they have the will and determination to carry out their task and avoid our human nature of conversing with others.

When you first log on to Bootleggers what do you notice? This is a mafia game. Why is it in this case that we see crews appear and disappear from the stats? Could it be that there aren’t enough underground? Why is it that we leave it to the powerful stats crew and popular underground crews such as The Family to have these accounts? Shouldn't all crews have underground accounts that are bankers and shooters? Perhaps it's time we make this game into what it was designed to be, a mafia game. Let's not just make a crew so it can appear on the stats for the awesome crew forums that we know exists, but rather to protect ourselves and wage war on the other crews. After all, the point of this game is to dominate, not to just co-exist.
