So another week sees yet another change to the staff. This week came with a new Help Desk Operator (HDO). Some of the players who frequent a seedy corner of the internet known as TinyChat knew something was happening when Sky happened to mention that Mika was playing a prank on the new HDO. So suddenly in the chat room names started flying around about who this could be, yet Sky wouldn't confirm any of the names. So who is this new HDO? On behalf of the Buzz let me introduce you to RatFaceRay!
Since around the end of 2004 (or the beginning of 2005) RatFaceRay has been prowling around the site being in numerous crews from The Order to Event Horizon and several others in between which meant that he can be included into the list of players who have been a part of all aspects of the game, through many rounds and seen many accounts. And being a part of so many strong crews. Even though some seem to get wiped a little more often these days.
This lead to the winter of 2012 when he took the next step up and took the job of HDO. So we asked what has this been like to which he responded, “I rather like it to be honest. Keep in mind that I am still a player too.”. With no problems so far and nothing to complain about we also asked what his favourite thing so far has been “Working with the Mods, other HDO’s and helping people with their questions.”
Since he is such a nice guy no one would do anything mean or horrible which might scare him right? Right Mika? Having already heard that Mika had played a prank on RatFaceRay we wondered if there was any more information we could to be gleamed from this tidbit of information. Sadly no, bar the subtle threat of “Mika I have a little something special for you.” What on earth could this mean? Maybe we will never know.
So would this new HDO ever consider the next step up was our next topic to which he replied with the candid statement of “If BSF thinks I'm qualified, I would have to think about it then. It would be a great job.”. So perhaps in the future! But running a farm with his “lovely” wife, eldest son, youngest daughter AND granddaughter that may be awhile. Especially as he lives an active lifestyle including “hunting fishing and four wheeling through the woods” Also in what little spare time he gets from all of this he's trying to restore a 1967 Ford F100.
