Into Crews ShyGuyV

Article written by Santo

Hello and welcome to this week’s issue of; Into Crews!

This week I’ve contacted the biggest crew on statistics so far which is of course Axteze. I want to thank DistanceII for kindly answering all of my questions so I had enough information to write my article about this wonderful crew.

Axteze has been around for several months now and they have surely proven themselves worthy to be on the statistics page! Where other crews come and go, Axteze is here to stay this has become obvious looking at their crew page and their achievements. I take you back months ago, when Axteze wasn’t around yet. There was a crew called Boston Mob, this crew was filled with loyal members and was considered a good crew back then. This all changed when they got shot twice and disappeared off the statistics page. Jackhigh and his council AceAdam, Klea and Flaton then decided it was for the best to retire the crew once and for all. BUT there were a few members who still wanted to be a group and decided to start looking for a crew of their own. It didn’t take too long before they picked up a crewspot and the reign of Axteze began. Axteze was founded by Aldo and Distance and most of Boston Mob joined them right away.

Axteze.. Hmm.. I always loved the name and their profile picture. So I asked DistanceII who made up their crew name. While the conversation had been very open until this point, this all changed with this question. All I got as a response was: ‘Hi Breeze’
Of course I asked what it meant but he wouldn’t tell me or say even more of the subject whatsoever, so I decided to let this one slide. When I said Axteze has proven themselves worthy to be on the statistics page, I wasn’t kidding! Some of its achievements are for example that Axteze is bootleggers first crew in round 7 to upgrade the crew size to 100 people with currently having 60 members! Having a bullet factory can also be called an achievement, so how do you call it when a crew has 2 bullet factories well protected? I think everyone will agree this has something to count for. California bullet factory had been a Death Valley property until they got wiped and Axteze had a chance to purchase it off them. Colorado bullet factory is a whole other story. This BF was won in a crew war with The Chain Gang and The Senate. Colorado BF was once property of Boston Mob but when they got wiped other crews got a hold of it. The ex-Boston Mob members, now Axteze members, felt this was their bullet factory so they decided to shoot for it. This resulted in a crew war between Axteze and The Chain Gang and The Senate and we all know who won this war! All three crews disappeared from statistics but only one crew returned to it, and we all know who that is! Prices regarding the bullet factories won’t be revealed to us at the Bootleggers Buzz but I wasn’t quite done with this subject. Axteze buying a bullet factory off Death Valley? Does this mean they had and may still have connections with them? I asked this to DistanceII of course and he replied: ‘The only good connection we had was not with DV but with Scandalous. We only actually worked, if you can call it working, together cause of something that took place last round. People believe we worked together with DV which we actually never did.’

Axteze isn’t just a very strong crew with great achievements, it’s also a very nice and kind crew to everyone! Yes everyone, also members of Bootleggers who just started playing. I’m talking of course about Axteze’s Open Days which is an idea of DistanceII to get more trusted members in the crew. ‘The Open Days is a certain amount of period where people that do not have any vouch can apply to the crew and then can get in by simply answering a few basic questions. This way we get to know the people better and they get to know us. If there's a positive match, they usually stay.’
The next question I asked him was if he wasn’t afraid for spies or insiders trying to destroy what he and Aldo (and others) have built up. His response: ‘Why be afraid of something on an online game? People deserve to be trusted, and doing this is the only way to find out. Well, actually it's an idea I pulled on my own. Everyone had questions and doubts about it, but I wanted to go on with it. The most crews have problems in finding members, the problem isn't those members, the problem lies with the crews. These days, most crews require vouches, now so do we, but simply not during these Open Days. If a crew works on vouches only, you will reach the limit of your crews network at one point and will not be able to recruit more people. And how can someone that just started playing get in contact with someone? It's difficult. By doing this, we break the thin line between Axteze and those players. We offer them a chance to be a part of a crew without having to complete to any requirement. And they help us by expanding our network.’

The last thing I wanted to talk to DistanceII about is their first official bust competition! Other crews have done it before, but they wanted something different. With an 8 day stretch and two active topics on game forum this could potentially become the biggest bust competition so far. (They still have to beat Aldarion for this to happen). I’ve asked him why we had to wait so long for an Axteze bust competition and here is what he had to say: ‘The problem with bust competitions have always been the same. Counting the busts. Thank god Sky fixed that for us. We did have internal bust competitions, but they aren't the same. And the idea has always been around. It's a great idea we've seen several crews do, so we decided to following them in that but at the same time also add our own touch to it. A huge price and a longer duration of the competition giving more people the chance to compete.’

DistanceII and I had a nice long talk, and it was like catching up with an old friend. I decided it was time to wrap it up and start typing the article. While typing this article I’m thinking about their open days and I’m wondering if it’s a smart thing to do. But above all I’m doubting about whether so stay crewless or give Axteze a try at the Open Days!
