Tuesday afternoon the twelve of December shots suddenly ran out. The Bootleggers Buzz was, as always, there to cover all of the action. Ducking and diving under the wave of bullets we turned up outside Triumvirate headquarters to find witnesses telling us all about Murda unleashing the horde of bullets. “Murder? That is certainly what is happening, but who is behind it?” we asked only to be corrected and told “No, no, his name is Murda!” Well that confusing moment over, we carefully approached Murda to find out what was happening.
The first thing we noticed about the situation was that Murda was holding a BF which he had picked up! Our first thoughts turned then towards Event Horizon but we were quickly shut down with that line of questioning. “I am not really affiliated with any crew, but I was boss of The Finishing Touch before we decided to give that project a break. Besides that me and some friends made some sort of "crew"for fun called "Team Vieze"because we are all Dutch and we like the rap group called "Team Vieze" but that is not really something you can take seriously.”
Well. This was certainly a surprise, an underground crew on the distance with no affiliation! So what is really going on here? Are they looking to become a permanent fixture of Bootleggers? Is there a Statistics slot reserved specifically for Team Vieze? Here is what Murda told us about this, “I am fairly sure I am the only one of my RL friends still playing BL so going on the stats would be very useless.”
Unfortunately he is on his own now. But he still managed to rack up an impressive amount of shooting! So we turned our attention to his resources and how many points he used. Surprisingly, he told us that, “I paid for every single bullet I shot.” So he didn't use any points here. He stocked for a long time to arrange this. He didn't tell us the exact number of bullets used per account, but he did inform us that not a single account which he killed required more then one hundred thousand bullets. He also informed us that he “Could've been done a lot faster, but it was a fairly easy job so I didn't feel the need to stress.” A very bold statement!
So what was his reasons for choosing Triumvirate as his victims? Murda gave us a lot of information about his chosen targets. Here is what he told us, “It was a disgrace this crew could hold on to Illi BF for this long, that's why I shot them. And besides that for the fun of it of course. And since all crewless Don+ get shot all the time I didn't want to keep this account without kills before getting shot.”
But we noticed there were a few other accounts being murdered by Murda which seemed very unrelated. Specifically there were two former Death Valley members, two The Phoenix Rebellion members and one other random account. So we asked him about these kills next and he told us why he killed Lennon, TheWeepingAngel and Atheist first. “Death Valley shot The Finishing Touch a long time ago, Event Horizon helped them by covering this up. Death Valley had a few high ranked accounts shot by my friend Destroy3D. Event Horizon was supposed to be next but since they are getting shot twice a week it seemed useless. Just shot Adam for fun and because he was the one buying the WS that showed rickert killed me.” He had one final comment to make about Event Horizon and Death Valley, “ Event Horizon, Death Valley, The Phoenix Rebellion potato potato.” Interesting comment.
So finally we asked him about the The Phoenix Rebellion accounts which he shot. His answer was much less focused on revenge and more focused on his spare bullets, “so with my last few bullets I took some The Phoenix Rebellion members down as well and took the BF for fun. I am not honestly thinking I can sell it.” So it looks like The Phoenix Rebellion were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
So next we turned to Murda's plans for the future. We asked him if he feared retaliation from Event Horizon or The Family due to the war which has been ongoing for the Illinois Bullet Factory. He told us “ No, it's a game and I enjoy shooting and getting shot.” Which is quite fortunate really since he was killed within a matter of hours. We then turned to his crew, Team Vieze and asked how many members he has in the crew, to which he replied “I think we started with 10 RL friends, most of them never played BL. Exit and I showed them the game, but around this time everyone has quit or maybe Destroy3D still has an inactive account.”
The final few questions were to ask if he had any long term goals for his questions, and if he had any messages to say. The former he replied to saying, “ Nope, to be honest I don't know what I will be doing next. Most likely saving up for some more shootings later on.” Short and sweet. In terms of final comments, to all of his victims he wanted to say, “RIP.” To the community as a whole he wanted to add, “Have great holidays, enjoy 2013 as if it's your last year and happy gaming to each and everyone on BL.”
So there we have it! All of the juicy details posted about the Murders committed by Murda on that fateful Tuesday afternoon.
